First off thanks for using fixya.com
Second, I too am a dd-wrt user and found a similar problem when using dd-wrt with my IPCOP. You may want to go into the "Security" section of your dd-wrt and disable any fire walling or access-restrictions. Since you are already running zonealarm. Or remove zonealarm if you plan to use dd-wrt as your firewall.
Running multiple firewalls will slow down your network/Internet traffic.
Hope this helps you out.

you need to go to the computer which is connected wired to the zyxel box,in the computer click on start, run, type in cmd,and hit enter,on that black box type in ipconfig, hit enter, you wil get a list of result check default gateway(eg of default gateway is 192.168.0.1)go to internet explorer page,in the address box type in the default gateway without http or www,it will open the zyxel page for you,it might prompt you to put in the user name and the password,if it does then donot put anythingin the name of username and put 1234 as password,in this page you will see an option that says wireless, click on wireless and then click on advanced, under you will see the wireless security option where you can go ahead and make you wireless connection secured.

Router A is connected to the modem. Setup router B to run as access point only. assign an un-used IP address to router B. Turn off the DHCP server on router B. connect a LAN port of router B with a LAN port of router A .do not use the Internet port of router B. do not configure WAN settings in router B. both routers must have the same wireless settings except for the wireless channel which should be different. Set the same SSID and the same wireless security settings on both routers. Good Luck
