Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T100 Digital Camera

1 Answer

My camera (Sony DSC-T100) is about 3 years old. It has worked perfectly in that time but recently, outdoor photos show a lot pink where it does not belong (sky, side walks, etc.). Indoor pictures still look great, with or without flash. Sounded similar to some of the bad CCD discussions I have seen, but my camera seems to have been built after that problem was supposedly fixed by Sony. I tried calling the number (866-703-7669) I have seen in several postings, but it does not seems to work.

Thanks... I think my White Balance settings are OK - they are set to "auto." I can see where that could a little off perfect, but after 3 years of perfect pictures the sudden, obvious pink is way more than a little off.

But I will take your suggestion about the techs. Thanks.

Check your white balance settings. If they are ok, e-mail the techs at the support section of the Sony website.

The only recommendation is to correct the colour balance in a photo editor in your computer Come back here if you do not know about photo editing. As far as the camera is concerned there is no remedy as far as I can see -its old age time for a new one Repair is not an option.

Hello dcmassey, the cause of the problem can be CCD imager. So, the best solution is to claim for Sony recall. If there is some other problem ask for the price estimate. Please contact the nearest Authorized Sony Service. Best regards, Arpi
