Have a Duracraft DT-70. It is dirty and filled with cat hairs and grease on the blades. I can't figure out how to get it apart to clean it.

You will need to take this apart and use a good degeasing spray to remove off al the dirt. Use diesel/kerosene to wash well and clean it dry. Use a good paintt brush to wash off all dirt into the hidden areas.
Wipe dry finally to reset.

I know how to clean it if I can just get it apart. So, that is my question as I stated in my original question. It doesn't have clips or anything remotely like that. It has sunken, and I mean sunken, screws or some such thing like that but I can't get them to come out.

Unfortunately most of the comanies have this done so that the work is not done easily. Youmight have to get the toold for these sunken types.

Clipper won't cut cleanly or easily. Lack of oil and dirty. Sometimes a hair gets caught between the blades. Lubricate and clean your Clippers regularly.

Hi, we have a Duracraft Commercial Grade High Velocity fan. When we turn it on it just hums, fixable? thanks, Nancy

Mine does the same when I try to start it on low. If I start it on hi after it gets going I then can turn it to low and works great. Hope this helps. Also you need to take it apart once a year , remove blades, take it outside and air blow the motor out .

Clippers have suddenly stopped cutting and seem to pull at the hair

Generally removing the two screws.. on the blade foot (don't do this over the sink unless the drain is closed!).. and taking the blade apart.. cleaning the trimmers with a small brush.. apply grease in the blade groove.. reassemble

Usually it's best to put those two screws back just get them in lose.. not quite snug..set the blade upside down on a flat surface..so it pushes the blade back away from the cutting end..level..then tighten those screws while you are pushing or holding down on the clippers cutting edge against the flat surface/table. ... oil the blade with the proper oil or a light mineral oil.

This usually will get them back to cutting properly..the blade should be oiled prior to each use...about two to three drops right along the visible part..or a light spray also hair should be clean.. dirty hair does not cut well at all..and the clippers will tug and pull rather than cut cleanly.

Lastly..if they see a lot of use. might be blade replacement time..

Best of luck!

I used the clippers to cut my dog... once finished I took it apart to clean out excess lubed parts and reassembled...I have done this many times before with no problems... I begin cutting and the blades...

Check your blade latch is working properly. If you took your clipper apart and your blades are not cutting it is one of 2 things. Your blade drive is not assembled properly or your blade latch is not holding the blade on the clipper. If you took your blade apart, check the blade alignment. The cutter blade needs to be slightly behind the comb blade.

Blades normally glide tight thru hair....cleaned and oiled blades but still meeting resistance on perfectly combed not matted hair. Blades are approx 5 yrs old. Do they need sharpened maybe. Should I...

Ok if you take them appart don't touch the screws you will find it hard to re-align, if your blades haven't been sharpened for 5 years the i think its a very good place to start

Is there a way to remove the brush filled with dog hair to make it easier to clean instead of just pulling out by turning upside down?

It's best to simply use a knife or razor blade to cut through the hair and clean it out that way. Taking the power head apart can easily result in more serious problems.

Sounds like the brush is completely gone. You might be able to replace just the brush.

Good luck.

Cleaning Conair Simple Cut haircutter

Go to a Sally Beauty supply and purchase a can of the blade wash. It is relativly inexpensive. You dip your blades into ths special wash and it cleans the blades and keep them sharp and is safe. DO NOT take the heads apart, Let the pros do that but blade cleaner you immerse them in and trust me it is what we pros use.
