Question about HP LaserJet 2430n Printer
You need to either replace your fusing unit or have someone replace just the fuser film. This is somewhat common on HP printers. The fuser film is like a teflon non stick "sheet". When they start to go bad this is what happens. They do not fully fuse the toner onto the page so the print will rub off. The fuser is pretty easy to change so either get yourself one, or call your local printer service company and have them change it out. I usually just do film replacements because it is cheaper. About $150 for a film change VS $250 and up for a fuser unit swap.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.
