Question about NorStar T7316E Phone

Nortel meridian - it seems like it is going automatically to ext. 25, not receptionist if the phone goes unanswered after 4 rings - not sure why. Call forward/no answer programming help

    It is not a problem with the system - I need to change the call forward no answer extension.

    **2663444 only shows a. configuration, not terminals@sets, so I cannot change it there...

When you say that it's not going to the receptionist, Is it when someone is allready in the voicemail and presses 0 or is it that the caller gets ext.25's mailbox instead of the main greeting?

Hello,

Have you tried resetting it back into defaults again? Or restarting the whole system? Meaning the whole PABX system.

The phones ring just 4 times before they go to message I want them to ring at least enimes

I don't know what "enimes" is, but that's the standard for those phones. I don't think it's changable unless the entire system is changed.

You can use the do not disturb function on your set. When used it will stop all ringing on your set(both line ring and intercom ring). To turn on DND, press feature 85, to turn the DND back off press feature #85.

Need to turn off transfer callback on Norstar Meridian

Ok, well I can explain most of the programming template, but I cannot give you the exact buttons to push since each phone IS programmed differently.

-> first dial FEATURE 985 this will give you the DN(Extn) for the voicemail (record this number) and then RLS
-> now I need you to dial FEATURE 0 on your set, and press the Intercom key to ensure the extension of your set you want to change and then hit RLS.

To get into programming press FEATURE 2 6 6 3 4 4
-> Password: 2 6 6 3 4 4
Now you will see 3 arrows on your LCD
<- Heading Enter->
<- Back Next->

-> you will now see TERMINALS&SETS and press Enter (the top right arrow key) now put in the extn that you want to change.
-> you should now see the extension of the set and the name that is associated with it, press Enter (the top right arrow key) again
-> now you will see LINE ACCESS and press Next (the bottom right arrow)
-> then you will see CAPABILITIES and press Enter. now you will see FWD NO ANSWER and press Enter, and put in the DN of the voicemail you saw with the Feature 985
-> hit Next for the number of rings you want to ring at the set before going to voicemail.
-> hit next and you can now RLS to back out of programming.

Voila, that set once called will now goto voicemail.

-OR-

You can get the receptionist to dial FEATURE 9 8 6 and the extension to transfer directly to someone's voicemail.

I have the Nortel BCM system and the problem is with a Norstar Meridian M7208 phone. This phone randomly rings (constant rings no pause between rings) and the only way to stop it is to unplug the phone...

I had that same issue before...

I turned the:
-> Autoset Relocate to On
-> then punched the set down on another port on the BCM system

I think it's just a bad port on the system...
The swap fixed my issue at my site. It was not a set problem, just something funny from the BCM.

Not too sure if you have the means to do that swap on the system yourself. But, it can be fixed.
