You need to try it with another PC first to make sure you do not have the PC Video card problem, we do not want to open up the monitor unless we have too.
Please post back what you find.

When the LCD monitor shows you "no signal" it only means it cannot acquire any feed from your computer. If you made sure all cables are connected properly and tightly, then there must be something wrong with your video card on the computer or the VGA cable itself. To verify is this is a problem with the videocard, then try another monitor, if you have a spare, and see if you can get picture; if yes, then you have a problem with your AOC's VGA cable. Try to twist the cable on both ends as if you are adjusting the wires inside.

I have a zoostorm desktop with aoc 917sw monitor but i get no sound also where do i plug speakers in .

This particular model does not come with any audio connections. It only has a standard RGB D-sub (VGA) connection.

To connect your speakers you will have to plug your speaker's audio cable into the headphone (line out) jack on your computer or laptop.

Brand new Monitor blank screen says No Signal

There is nothing wrong with the monitor. The LCD is not recieving any signals from the PC. Either you are connecting the VGA cable incorrectly or your VGA card is not set from the PC BIOS. The VGA cable might also be faulty.
Recheck that all the connections are clean and secure. If you are using a PCI-E or AGP card, the computer BIOS should be set to send the video signals through the PCI-E or AGP card. Follow the procedure in your motherboard manual.
If your pc has on-board graphics then you should connect the VGA cable to the on-board VGA out connector.
