GE Artica PSS25MGMB Stopped cooling/freezing, everything else works, lights, fans, just no cold and no compressor start sounds?

I would suspect the start relay and capacitor! With the clicks and buzzes, that is the most likely fault. Although you could replace one or the other of them, I always replace as a mated pair, because it seems that when one of them fails, the other one will fail shortly after. Items 733 and 734 on the following schematic (which also gives you an idea of what they look like and where they are located)

Fridge not cooling, freezer not freezing, buzzing sound

with any luck this is you overload and relay
it is the plug on the actual compressor, this is very easy to replace, if you replace it and it does exactly the same thing its your internal relay and your compressor is done....

I own a Whirlpool model WBM35LW refigerator, a buzzing noise lasts for about 10 seconds followed by a click. I replaced the start relay and overload but the buzzing continues, all seems normal including...

This is usually a sound coming from the ice maker solenoid. It will buzz while it is energized and letting water fill the tray up and then you will usually hear a clicking sound when it is cutoff and the water is stopped. Sometimes if the water line on the back of the unit is not secured properly you will hear various sounds as the water is suddenly stopped and the line moves around, like a garden hose does.

I have a ARB2205CS that is 6.5 yrs old. It stopped

No, the relay was what caused the buzz click but i think a bad compressor could be responsible for blowing the relays out. If you had a bad defrost timer that was stuck in defrost thus compressor not running you would not get the buzz click..your comressor would also be cold.

INTERMINENT BUZZING NOT COOLING

from your description it sounds as if the compressor is not starting up. the buzzing noise usually occurs approx. ever 3-5 minutes and is followed by a click. this indicates either a bad start relay or a stuck compressor. and from the model you listed it is most likely the compressor. if the unit is under 5 yrs old it should still be in warranty thru sears.

Freezer and refrigerator not cooling. Makes a buzzing noise

hello sbarrry2 it sound like the motor that is running continously is the condenseer fan and the buzzing and then the click would be the compressor trying to start up and going off on overlaod. shut the unit off at the swiutch, let it cool down (3) hours possibly and then try to turn it back on. this should work. Doesn't Cool Entire Room/Space - also very noisy

It sounds like it is cooling a little bit. So I will suggest to you that it may be low on refrigerant. I assume that you have cleaned the filter because you followed the manuals instructions.

The clicking and buzzing sounds may be that the compressor is pulling high amps and failing. Otherwise I have heard similar noises when a capacitor fails. You will probably need a technician to make the repairs.

Hums and freezes up????

The fan motor must have been stopping. If the fan stops, for sure the fins will freeze because there is no air flowing. common Fan motor problems defective bearing or bushing and starting condenser. If the bearing is defective, it will heat up and seize. Have the fan motor checked. The fact that the fins are freezing, means that there is enough freon and the compressor is working.
