Do you think it could be something going wrong with the hibernation settings within the operating system? Depending on which o/s you're using you can disable hibernation by going into the power options within the control panel and changing the value to "never" in the "put computer to sleep" drop down box. Other than that, avoid using the sleep mode until you get closer to finding a solution.

Hi,

You can turn Sleep and Hibernate off in Windows but this sounds like it might be your Bios putting the system to sleep. In windows go to power options and turn sleep and Hibernation off but double check your Bios as well for a possible setting there that will put the computer in sleep or Hibernate mode.

Hi, laptop will not start

Seems like your Operation System crashed. Find your reinstall CDs and reload windows.

If you find someone who can pull the hard drive and hook it to another machine and run a check disk that might save you from reloading it and losing all your data.
