Dear sir,
kindly change the batteries and check for the working,if it still fails to turn on then the problem is usually caused by virus and sometimes it might be software failure also, which causes some of the menu not to function, the only solution is to flash ur cam software from the nearest service centre
thank you,...take care

I have a Hasee e130 notebook and it does not recharge the batteries. First I thought it was the battery but the same battery recharges on other notebooks. How can I solve the problem ?

when you charged the battery on the other notebook did you use your notebook's ac-dc power adapter unit. I would try using the other notebook power ac-dc adapter on your notebook or get a voltmeter set on DC voltage 20volt range and test your notebook AC-DC adapter produces the required DC voltage of the Notebook requirements.

It does not seem to be charging the batteries. 12 volt lights work good for about 2 days then go dim until I put a charger on the batteries and bring them back into working order. The battery connect...

The Parallax 7155 converter should not require battery support for any 12 volt load amperage that is less than the maximum amperage capacity of the converter. A standard RV incandescent 12 volt lamp draws about 1.5 amperes for each bulb. With the battery disconnected and other 12 volt loads off, turn on lamps (not fixtures) and calculate the number of bulbs which can be turned on. If you run out of lamps, turn on vent fans etc. The idea here is to try to get to 55 amperes of DC load if possible without going over 55 amperes. At a sustained DC load of about 25-30 amperes or higher, the fans should cycle on continuously after about 5 -10 minutes. Lamp brightness should be normal and the measured voltage from the converter should be above 13 volts if under 55 amps of DC load. If the voltage drops with only a few lamps on, a converter issue would be likely.

Diagnostic tests an RV technician should make would be to:
1. Disconnect the battery system.
2. With the converter system powered on, measure the DC amperage with a DC ammeter capable of reading at least 60 amperes DC from the blue lead at the DC fuse panel terminal VCC.
3. Measure the DC voltage at terminal VCC and DC ground.
4. Record both readings.
At any DC load amperage less than 55 amps, the voltage should be above 13.0-13.2 volts DC. This method should take out all guesswork and confirm a DC converter section issue or not.

Don`t charge the battery

Remove the battery, plug in the APC unit but do not turn it on. With a multimeter, place the leads on the proper connectors and turn on the meter and place it on the lowest DC setting to read DC voltage. The DC voltage should read 13.5 DC volts, which means the unit is capable of recharging the battery. If it reads low, for example, 6.44, then there's a problem. On the main board of the APC unit, it is more than likely a faulty capacitor.

For use during an extended power outage, where of course you wouldn't be able to recharge the battery after it drained initially, I'm wondering if anyone has tried using a 12 volt lead acid rechargeable...

You simply need a DC - AC Inverter, these can be obtained from somewhere like Radio Shack, or the like, pretty cheaply. These convert 12V DC into 115/120V AC (Some are 24V - 115/120 V) for use with your household appliances. You can get them from 100 Watts to over 1 kilowatt (!000 Watts) They can be used on almost anything at all, except things with big motors in them. Then you can simply plug the AC adapter into the inverter and you are good to go. not having to worry if your laptop is getting correct power.
Often the DC input into a laptop is between 14 Volts DC to 22 Volts DC and a high current too, up to 5 Amps. So the inverter is your best option.
Anyway you would need to use at least TWO 12 Volt batteries and then you would have to make it the exact voltage the laptop needed.. if it was say 19V then you are still going to have to find a way to drop the 24 V to 19 V, anyway so.....

It is likely that an internal integrated circuit in the DC/DC board is damaged. Either an electronic component just is worn out, or moisture or humidity affected the camera. You can try with a different set of batteries (different brand and type) since such DC/DC converter board has a monitor circuit of the battery level, and when the components of it start failing, gives a wrong battery level to the micro-processor. If after try other batteries you have the same problem, then you will need to have your camera reviewed by a qualified technician to have it repaired, since it requires open the camera and evaluate the DC/DC board performance.

Unfortunately, you probably destroyed the lectratag. Even though a power connector fits, the polarity or the voltage could be wrong.
