HOW DO I OPEN IT TO PUT A BATTERY IN IT ?

I have a logitec wireless mouse and on the bottom there is a small sliding switch. you pull the switch down while simultaneously sliding the top and bottom of the mouse. try sliding it apart different in different directions if it doesn't work one way it may the other. also look for any "depression" areas that are releases which allow you to open the mouse. if none of that helps i will give you my email and if possible you could send me some pics of the thing.

When I am not moving the mouse but I keep left and/or right click held it clicks repeatedly. How can I fix this?

My mouse does the same, first i put new battery's in it but that just fixed it for a short time. I'v taken mine apart and can not find anything wrong with it. got so bad I just took it off my system and replaced it with a cheep corded (YUCK) USB mouse.
Makes me mad too I paid good money for this keyboard/mouse combo and now I have to find another mouse.
Sorry I can't help.

I have an HP N3 optical mouse that was doing well until the other day when the middle little scrolling wheel stopped working. Can I fix it or do I have to buy something else? Thank you.

If the entire mouse stopped it probably time for new batteries. If it is just the wheel then it could be a driver issue or setting. If those are ok ie the middle button wasn't disabled somehow or your computer figured it only has a 2 button mouse then its hardware. That means its replacement time. It's possible the switch or the sensor for the wheel are dirty so if you want to you can take it apart and try cleaning.

The left click button doesn't work:

There are two different things that would cause a mouse button to stop working. The first is a with the mouse itself. The second is software related.
The software issue may just need you to update your driver or reset the mouse button's assigned tasks to the default settings. To do this use either the control panel or if you have software for the mouse use that and reset to the default settings.
The hardware issue is a different story. When you push the mouse button can you feel the faint "click"?
If not then the problem is the mouse itself. It may just need to be taken apart and cleaned or it could be that the small "momentary switch" is bad. I have replaced them but to be honest it a real hassle and requires a lot of electronics soldering experience.
I hope this helps and good luck.

Hi guys i broke the left button on my hp pavilion dv6 1210sa note book and can not find replacement part i dont want to use a exturnal mouse either thanks

Well first you'll need to know how to take your laptop apart so I did find a website that can help you with that:

http://www.insidemylaptop.com/take-apart-hp-pavilion-dv6000-laptop/

The only problem is that you would need to replace the whole motherboard to actually get a "working" mouse. Sorry, I feel your pain.

Thanks,

Need to replace mouse button on HP notebook

These come cheaper already attached to the palmrest. These can be had on Ebay for around 15-20 bucks. Otherwise, you still have to take the laptop apart and then you will have to teardown the palmrest to change out a mouse button. Below is the link for the service manual to assist in the disassembly.

Mouse doesn't work

LOOK FOR A BUTTON TO RESET THE MOUSE AND THE USB CONNECT SHOULD ALSO HAVE A RESET SWITCH ON THE USB CONNECT YOU NEED TO PUSH BOTH AT THE SAME IME SO THE CAN GET INSINK OR THE CHANNEL TO SET. SOME TIMES THE MOUSE HAS TO BE TAKEN APART AND CLEANED JUST LIKE THE OLD MOUSE BALL ONE, AND RESET THE MOUSE SETTING IN CONTROL PANAL, UPDATE DRIVE MAY ALSO HELP IF THERE IS ANY NEW FIXS

ROD

PS SOME TIMES THE LEAD TO THE BATTARY CONNECTION NEED THE THE SPRING PULLED OUT A LITTLE OR THE OTHER END WITH METAL TAB ON IT NEEDS PULLED OUT BECAUSE THE PLAY IN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT IS LOOSE AND THE CONNECTION IS INTERMITTING A VOLTAGE CHANGE AND CAUSES THE MOUSE TO LOOSE ITS SIGNAL TO THE TRANSMITTER OR SET FREQANCES.
