Hi, please try the following steps :-

Step 1. Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)

Step 2. Press and hold the power button. It will beep when you first press it, then beep again 5 seconds later. Let go of the power button when you hear this second beep.

Step 3. Wait for your PS3 to restart.

This resets your video back to standard definition and should now allow you to setup your video properly.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYA

I was playing my PS3 and moved it from my tv upstairs to my tv downstairs. After plugging my PS3 in my tv downstairs, on which it had worked just 1 week previously, my tv picked up no signal from my PS3....

Try this.

Plug your PS3 on either TV. Turn on the backswitch. When the red light in front is on, put your finger on the on/off button in front AND KEEP IT THERE. You will hear some beeps; don't worry about that. Keep your finger on the button until the front power light goes red again. This resets the PS3 video settings. Turn the PS3 on and the TV should pick up the signal.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted.

No signal through hdmi ports

Check the hdmi cables be sure their in proper working condition, wiggle the cables around see if picture comes up. If not and the cables are good then the hdmi processor on the main board of your TV is defective. Alot of times hdmi ports tend to burn so see if you smell a burnt smell near or around the hdmi ports. but before you do anything be sure sure your TV settings are correct for hdmi....

Playstation won't send HDMI signal to tv

Hi GPage1993,
I also just had this problem where it was working then not displaying on a TV (didn't matter if HDMI or Component or a different TV). I knew the system was still "working" by the controller being able to turn it off (got lucking on the power off sequence once). Anyway, I called the Sony help number (1-800-345-SONY) which told me to do a reset by holding down the power button till I heard a second beep. I was then able to see the PS3 interaction on the screen and reset it to the specific format for my TV.
Hope this helps cause I was also about ready to send it back.

Television inputs keep telling me that i have no signal or no input when i try to switch over and use my ps3. this is weird because i was using it when this problem occurred, so everything should be...

Try resetting the signal from the PS3.
Press the power button and hold it until you hear a few beeps in a row.
Power it off again, then back on.
Make sure to have the TV set to the input the PS3 is connected to & turned on before starting the PS3.

PS3 hdmi only working on some displays

I have noticed using an HDMI cable that with some of the newer tvs you have to set up the tv also to enable HDMI for a game system. Like you said before internet tv and blueray dvd player work fine. Try adjusting the settings on the tvs themselves. I have a 50in DLP mitsubishi, and had a very troubling time getting my ps3 to work on that particular tv set while it worked flawlessly on other sets. And what I had to do was enter my tv setup menu and then power on my ps3 with both my AV and HDMI cables connected, it would pick up the AV first. Then I would alter the video settings on the PS3 for HDMI, and unplug the AV cable. Exit the tv menu and then reenter it. Then I had to setup my HDMI port from the tv to game in order for it to work, where you can set options ar usually like cable/dvd/sat, and so on. Without my TV being set to game that way it would not work. Try this and see if it helps. Good Luck.

No signal on both EXTs on TV

Try a video reset. Turn the system to standby, where just the red power light is on. Then hold the front power button till it turns on, beeps twice, and shuts off. Then turn on normally.

HDMI not working with PS3

Try to reset the video signal: when you power on the ps3, gently press and hold on to it for a few seconds untill you hear a couple of quick bleeps. release your inger and you should now be able to reset you r ps3 to HDMI signal. Hope this works and makes sense. if that doesn't work then you and i are facing the same problem.
Good luck

PS3 not working on 42'' JVC via HDMI cable port

I have the PS3 and this TV and it works....Try this.

1. Turn ON TV
2. Connect HDMI from TV to PS3
3. Select the correct HDMI input on the TV for the PS3(important)
4.Turn OFF PS3 if it is ON.
5. hold [I/O] Power button on PS3
6. Wait about 5 second and you should get the "HDMI Detected" or some similar message.
7. Configure the HDMI output for the PS3

Also, If you set the PS3 to "auto" for hdmi, it may set the resolution to 1080i. You may want to deselect everthing but the 1080P.

Input Signal between TV and satellite dish lost

had that happen with my 42F430 and my PS3
every other input works except the HDMI
toke me the entire day to verify that its not my PS3 thats casuing the trouble
what i end up doing is "UNPLUG" the power cord of the TV and disconnect the HDMI cable from the PS3 then let the tv sit for 2 minute, then plug the power cord back in the TV then press and hold the power button for about 10 second.. to turn it on, after the TV boots up then i go to menu and do a factory reset
and after that it start picking up the signal from my PS3 again
