Impossible. MAC addresses are what are burned onto the device. you have recorded them incorrectly or the device is faulty and will not work anyway.

Blank wan mac address

You can't telnet based on the mac address you would be using the ip address. The mac is burnt into the device and isn't touched by a firmware update. If you did an update and the ip address changed, you can use a port scanner such as nmap to do a ping sweep and find the devices ip address.

The MAC is the unique identifier for the onboard LAN chip - if it's invalid then the chip has been fried - disable it from the BIOS and install a new PCI LAN card.

I switched off mac filtering because my new laptop mac address was invalid with this router. Turned on WPA security. Now when I try to login the router will not take the password, and cannot get in to...

There is a reset switch ( pin hole ) at the back of the router press it with a pin ( thumbtack) hold for 10 sec and the router will go back to factory settings and that will allow you to start over again, and you don't need to use your mac address to set your PC on the network ip address is normally enough, just part of the mac is use by TCP-IP to reply to you when sending a request to the Internet.

Mac address is invalid in both cmos and flash

The MAC address is burned in the Ethernet card chip, you won't see it in the Bios or if you do you can't change it. MAC address changer are tweaks to not being tracked.

The solution to know if the card is blown is to do a complete reinstall of your operating system and if then you can't connect whit it, it is indeed dead. Then Disable it in the Bios and had a PCI one to replace it.

Those kind of problem whit network cards happens a lot when you get a power outage, if you had one in the last couple of days your problem is most likely it.
