I suggest to download teh latest version for your model and operating system and run it again ..remove the one that do not worked from the list ..To do that go to control panel ..add remove programs ..and check it in the list and click remove ..Download it and run it again from this site..but not before being sure you have chosen the correct version ..
If you do not load it all will not be such a lost can use other security software ..specially in windows 7 ..I recommend Microsoft essentials free ..It can be downloaded from the Microsoft support site..and it works great ..
The great think is that it is not invasive ...runs in the back ..and really does its job ..and its free..and fully update-able ..The only request is to run a genuine windows operating system ..
If you want to run it on windows xp may ask for a few updates to be installed ..just go where it sends you ..and download the updates and load it after that ..
for windows 7 it runs right the way ..

What's wrong with it , have you had it checked for DTC'S - diagnostice trouble codes .

The design of the passlock™ system is to prevent the vehicle operation if the proper ignition key is not used in order to start the vehicle. The mechanical key, in normal operation, will turn the passlock™ lock cylinder. The passlock™ sensor will relay the passlock™ data to the body control module (BCM). The BCM will determine the validity of the passlock™ data. The BCM will send a code password to the vehicle/powertrain control module (VCM/PCM). When the VCM/PCM receives the correct code the VCM/PCM allows the fuel injectors to operate normally. The passlock™ system requires the VCM/PCM and the BCM to communicate the various functions in order to operate. These functions transmit over the class 2 serial data line CKT 1807. For an explanation of the class 2 serial data operation refer to Data Link Connector Circuit Description in Wiring Systems.

What is the security code?

Your SECURITY light lit on the instrument cluster ? or you disconnected the battery an now the radio is locked ?
The theft deterrent system on this vehicle is comprised of the vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) system. VTD prevents drive away theft by preventing the vehicle from starting.
SECURITY Indicator The SECURITY indicator on the instrument cluster is controlled by the VTD system. The SECURITY indicator is located inside the instrument cluster. The SECURITY indicator is controlled by the body control module through the class 2 data line. The VTD system contained in the BCM commands the instrument cluster to control the SECURITY indicator only when the ignition switch is ON. The VTD system uses the indicator as a malfunction indicator.
Theft Deterrent
The "Theftlock" theft deterrent system is a feature on all base and uplevel radios. There is no need to program a security code into the radio as in past model years. The theft deterrent system now utilizes class 2 serial data to determine if the radio is in the appropriate vehicle. Each time the radio receives the "run" power mode message, it compares the VIN information it has stored to the VIN information received from a module on the class 2 serial data circuit responsible for transmitting that information. If a mis-match occurs, the radio display will indicate to the user the radio is locked. Once this takes place, a DTC will set, the radio will not respond to any button presses and become inoperative. The two scenarios able to cause this condition are:
A radio is installed from another vehicle.

A module which communicates on the class 2 serial data circuit which supplies VIN information to the radio is replaced and not properly setup with the correct VIN information for that vehicle.

The only way to unlock the radio is by using a scan tool. Always refer to the table in this section to diagnose the "Theftlock" DTC for further information.
So what problem are you having ?

Installing aftermarket remote start on a 2007 Dodge ram 1500

Oh yes. You will need an interface for the remote starter to work. You can purchase an FLCAN or an XK09 but, these components must be programmed to function properly. You can purchase an EVO-ALL; it does not need to be programmed. The installation instructions can be downloaded at The three components mentioned above will work almost necessary components in the vehicle . Hardwire the system with 5303 and then wire the interface to the vehicle through the CAN data wires.

Edata security not properly installed then shuts down comp

Hello Lilian,

If you start the laptop in safe mode, you should be able to uninstall acer edata security. It is not a necessary application ant this should solve the issue. To start the laptop in safe mode, start tapping the f8 key when you see the acer logo when you power the laptop on. You will get a black screen with white print offering you several startup modes. Choose 'safe mode' and boot into windows. If e-data security will not uninstall in safe mode (not all programs do) then you should either take it to a shop for repair, or back up your data (if you can boot into safe mode), and restore the laptop to factory original condition. To do this, press the alt and f10 keys together repeatedly right when you see the acer logo at power on. It make take a few tries to get the timing right on your key pressing, but this will initiate the routine that will restore the laptop to the original windows installation it shipped from the factory with. THIS WILL DESTROY ALL DATA ON THE C: DRIVE - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BACKED UP ANY FILES YOU NEED TO AN EXTERNAL DRIVE BEFORE PROCEEDING. If you still have issues, then get back to me and I will help.

I have aficio MP-5000 what does SC-220 mean

SC-220 = The laser synchronizing detection signal for the start position of the LDB is not output for two seconds after LDB unit turns on while the polygon motor is rotating normally.

Which could mean:

• The Copy Data Security Unit card not installed

• The Copy Data Security Unit card is installed, but it is not the correct type for the machine.

Or a problem with the laser unit itself.

A reboot normally clears the error.

Hope this helps.

I am getting on my screen :your soft will be counterfeited make your windows 7 genuinemy system is not up dating microsoft security

HI. Microsoft security essentials, or any Microsoft security entity for that matter, will not allow itself to update its data base definitions when there is an pirated or counterfeit OS installed on this particular system. The Microsoft security platform will attempt to verify your installation of windows for proper certificates and correct and viable key codes, before the update process begins. If in any way this verification cannot be completed, due to a pirated copy of windows, your computer will not be able to receive any updates for windows or the installed security platform. You will need to purchase a real copy of windows form your local retail store or borrow a identical genuine copy form a friend.

Basically; This is just a system message stating that your copy of windows is not genuine, therefore, halting any updating services. if this is a pirated copy of windows that you have installed on your PC, kindly, uninstall it and reinstall a genuine copy of windows. This will correct the update functions.

svchost.exe is apart of windows. It sounds like your system was infected. When you install security on a system thats not healthy, the infection can compromise and corrupt your new security causing it to not work correctly, or show false positives.

Mcafee and CA both aren't that great. I recommend the paid edition of Malwarebytes and AVG. Both work much better then CA, Mcafee, Norton, etc.. just to name a few.

At this point your going to need to get the system healthy. This is the dangerous part I recommend letting a professional help you, because remvoing infections can cause data loss and you risk making the system even worse. I recommend
