Question about Garden

Open Question

Husqvarna Pro Rider 15 problem: Having mown for half an hour the blades suddenly stopped turning upon lowering the front canopy. Engine is working and nothing looks broken. Looking at the belt and pulley system, I think the belt may have slipped. Should it travel around the outside of the spring loaded pulley wheel I can see towards the rear on the left underside? It is not laced around this at present. Hope you can help. Thank you. S Butler

SOURCE: Have a John Deere tractor LA145 Yesterday while

Either you need a seat switch or the reverse switch has failed. If the deck will engage while you are pushing down the forward pedal then the rio or reverse switch is not working or it's out of adjustment. If you can not get the deck to engage at all then the problem is likely the seat switch.

Sounds like you have broken a shear pin in the drive pulley.
Shear pins are made to break if you hit something. Other wise it would cost a lot of money to repair the damage.

Do the blades need sharpening? Check the belts for tightness and the spring that holds the tension. what stops? The blades stop, but the belt is still turning? Check to also make sure the blades turn freely with the belt disengaged. you may have a spindle problem too.

I purchashed a used 26 54 husqvarna 2007 model rider and it will not cut low enough. My murray will scalp ground if i lower deck to ground. It looks like the blades are designed to be set higher off...

Low under the steering wheel there may be an adjusting knob. If it is there are you turn it, it should adjust the height of the deck. If you lower the deck and try to turn the knob it will be difficult to turn and you will know that is what it is for, the deck lower stop. Then pull up the deck and adjust a bit and lower the deck and see where it is, repeat until satisfied with the deck height when lowered.

While mowing my lawn the Husqvarna YTH1542xp with a twin Kawasaki engine suddenly stopped. Will not start again, had blown 20 amp fuse, replaced fuse and starter engages, but engine won't turn over....

Maybe it threw a rod or piston.. maybe the piston seized up. Can you get the blade to rotate at all? Use a stick to try that, not your shoe.

Husqvarna rider 155 won't start

I took a wire and jumpered all of the switches until I found the one that would let the mower start. The switch was still good, but vibration or whatever had moved the plug just enough to lose contact. Plugged it on more firmlly - problelm solved. Thanks.
