Check under the blue plastic of the battery and verify that the positive and negative terminals are connected

I have the same issue. Called their customer service and they said it was a defect in the charging system. They are sending a upgrade kit for free, but when it's installed you can't charge the battery using the rear port anymore. No big deal. I'll report back when the fix is complete. 5-7 days until it gets here.

SOURCE: i have a power wheel price fisher charger and i

hi, you will have change the adapter on the charger or the battery. do you have a peg charger thats not working? if so simply cut the connector off and splice it onto the power wheels charger. the chargers are simply a ac adapter so the only real difference is the connection points. get a cheap volt meter at harbor freight (under $5) and make sure you connect the + and - wires correctly, failure to do so will blow the fuse on the battery and maybe destroy the adapter. from your question im thinking you dont have the peg connector so can find those for sale on ebay or on http://www.modifiedpowerwheels.com . good luck!

How do i know if the battery is fully charged 12volt peg Perego battery

the charger's L.E.D. ... when plugged to the charger will glow GREEN if fully charged, YELLOW if charging, if it is charged and gator still is not working it is probably the shifter switch is bad, this is verycommon and fairly cheap and easy to fix(under 40.00)

I bought a gator last christmas 4 my son and only charged battery 6 times fully but now it will not work

most likely it is the shifter switch. Just to check you can exchange the red and blue wires under the pedal(just for a second or so, do not do this permanently) to see if you get power to the wheels, if so then yes it is Definitely only the shifter, but I am still pretty sure it is just the shifter. you can also call Peg Perego Tech support which is excellent and they can help you too 1800-728-2108 and parts can be priced and found at www.mypegperegoparts.com the battery charger should have a led light that will glow green at full charge, and yellow if not charged all of the way.

My peg perego charger lights up prior to being connected to the battery. Is this normal for the light to go off when on charge ?

nope, it should turn amber when it is charging unless the amber led is not working, does it still charge the battery? and does the light turn green when its done charging?

Peg perego 12v charger question

The green light means it is ready to use. If the battery is bad though, the light will still be green.

Peg perego 12 volt battery

Although what the previous post is correct, if the battery is new, and if you have the peg perego charger, you need to charge it 36 hrs the first time. After that, you can charge overnight. The peg perego charger has a small light on the front. When you plug the battery in the plugged up charger, it will show amber. When battery is charged it will show green. Don't leave it plugged up, after the first charge, longer than 24 hours.
