My HP Photosmart D5069 does not print. All the cords are connected properly but when I go to print something nothing happens. When I look at the status it just says Error-Printing

If you have recently changed ink cartridges and used an off brand cart. you can get this response.
HP printers can be real picky about whose ink cartridge you use. They usually have a 3 cartridge memory. That is they remember the codes from the previous 2 cartridges , wanting the new one to be of the same (HP) type. There are various workarounds. Depending on the model there may be some differences. Usually they all involve simply removing and re installing a cartridge 3 times to brainwash the little memory chip. Sometimes it requires powering off and on between changes. It is a lot of frustrating repetition but HP wants to sell you INK.
A somewhat simpler cause of the print failure is often dirty contacts in the back of the cartridge or of its seat bracket. Easy clean is Q-tip and some Alcohol. Not to vigorous and dont leave any fuzz behind.
Good luck

The ink level indicator is more than 1/2 full yet the print quality is pale. I cleaned printer heads several times, alligned etc., but still pale print quality. I changed ink cartridges, printed about 40...

try to change the properties of the printer. Usually it has a configuration to increase the printing quality.

And also, look for the configuration for ink drying wait time. Change it to long.

If you dont have any problems with your cartridge. then i think you should need some adjustments from your configuration.

well, i hope this works.. :)
Thank you.

Lexmark printer always want a new cartridge

What you need is to reset the ink level:
1) Goto the Lexmark Solution Center application.
2) Press button Maintenance>Install a new print cartridge, follow the instruction on screen. U may then have your new full ink level. Note: u only can reset to full level, cannot customize the level by your own.
Hope this help.

Changing cartridge on printer

The Basics manual from HP:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00694908.pdf

Check out page 17 of the Basics manual for detailed instruction on replacing the cartridges.

Make sure the HP All-in-One is on.
Caution If the HP All-in-One is off when you open the print cartridge door
to access the print cartridges, the HP All-in-One will not release the
cartridges for changing. You might damage the HP All-in-One if the print
cartridges are not docked safely when you try to remove them.
2. Make sure you have letter or A4 unused plain white paper loaded in the input tray.
3. Open the print cartridge door.
The print carriage moves to the far right side of the HP All-in-One.
4. Wait until the print carriage is idle and silent, and then lightly press down on a
print cartridge to release it.
If you are replacing the tri-color print cartridge, remove the print cartridge from the
slot on the left.
If you are replacing the black or photo print cartridge, remove the print cartridge
from the slot on the right.

1 Print cartridge slot for the tri-color print cartridge
2 Print cartridge slot for the black and photo print cartridges
5. Pull the print cartridge toward you out of its slot.
6. If you are removing the black print cartridge in order to install the photo print
cartridge, store the black print cartridge in the print cartridge protector or an
airtight plastic container.
If you are removing the print cartridge because it is low or out of ink, recycle the
print cartridge.
7. Remove the new print cartridge from its packaging and, being careful to touch
only the black plastic, gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab.
1 Copper-colored contacts
2 Plastic tape with pink pull tab (must be removed before installing)
3 Ink nozzles under tape
Caution Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles.
Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical
connections.
8. Slide the new print cartridge forward into the empty slot. Then gently push on the
upper part of the print cartridge forward until it clicks into the socket.
If you are installing the tri-color print cartridge, slide it into the left slot.
If you are installing a black or photo print cartridge, slide it into the right slot.
9. Close the print cartridge door.
If you installed a new print cartridge, the HP All-in-One prints a print cartridge
alignment sheet.
Note If you have colored paper loaded in the input tray when you align
the print cartridges, the alignment will fail. Load unused plain white paper
into the input tray, and then try the alignment again.
If the alignment fails again, you might have a defective sensor or print
cartridge. Contact HP Support. Go to www.hp.com/support. If prompted,
choose your country/region, and then click Contact HP for information on
calling for technical support.

Ink well cleaners

There is a design reason why the print heads are changed when you change an ink cartridge is changed. The print head isn't made to be reused and the quality of your print will suffer at some point if you reuse the same print head 6 or 7 times. I would get new cartridges and be happy with the print quality that a new cartridges will bring.

Will not print blue

Try this I triedi in my printer cartridge which was stuck for a while and only prints in red other colors dont. First you remove the cartridges get a clean dry tissue / towel paper and smudge the cartridge printing heads to the tissue it should give all the colors if not the ones that dont may have hardened. Get warm water (Clean) in a bowel and submerge the printing heads on the water not the entire cartridge to dissolve any deposits then try them again. Hope it works it worked on mine.
