Hi....this is prerana shah from ranchi. my problem is that i have got a lot of stretch marks all over my body like hands, legs, back and in many more places. These look very ugly. please tell me that is there any way to get rid of them ?? i came to know taht laser treatement might be helpful in this. if yes then how much time will it take and what will be the expenses ?? please reply me soon

You must consult a good dermatologist or a plastic surgeon to confirm on what needs to be done.
On the contrary have a good oil therapy instead of resorting to any surgical procedures, have external application of creams, good diet of fruits and vegetable , relaxation and exercise.

Mark, This is new to me, a TV with legs. If you are sure there are no fasteners installed, have a second person steady the set as you use both hands to twist leg back and forth and pull leg off.

How to massage the neck during a neck pain


Neck pain can be caused by injury, stress or by other health problems, including some that could have serious consequences.
One of the most common causes of neck pain, and sometimes headaches, is poor posture.
Your neck contains bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles and nerves, any of which can hurt. Neck pain also may come from regions near your neck, such as your head and shoulders.
Giving Neck Massage
1. Place yourself at your partners head, while they are lying on their back. Oil the front of the body, starting with hands on their upper chest, then move down over the breastbone and back up the sides of the body to the starting position. Place hands on the upper chest, fingers pointing toward each other and press down, gliding the hands out toward the top of the arm.
2. Cradle the head in one hand and turn it slightly toward the right. With the other hand, glide firmly out from the center of the chest to the top of the arm, back along the top of the shoulder, and up the back of the neck to the base of the skull.
3. Make small circles along the back of the neck to release tension, then continue down the side of the neck to the chest. Stroke firmly down the side of the neck and out along the top of the shoulder, stretching the neck muscles.
4. Turn the head back to the center with both hands supporting the head under the neck, and pull gently to stretch out the neck muscles.
5. Turn the head to the opposite side and repeat the sequence for the other shoulder. Return the head to the center and pull gently. Make small, circular movements up the back of the neck to the skull and then stroke up the back of the head and off.
Heat can help relax sore muscles, but it sometimes aggravates inflammation, so use it with caution. Apply heat or ice for 15 to 20 minutes, with a 40-minute rest between applications.
For pain that doesn't get better, your doctor may recommend:
Physical therapy. Heat, ice or similar treatments combined with an appropriate stretching and muscle strengthening program may enhance the structures that support your cervical spine. Such treatments are often all you need for neck pain.
Pain medications. Your doctor may prescribe stronger pain medicine than what you can get over-the-counter. Opioid analgesics are sometimes used briefly to treat acute neck pain. Muscle relaxants also may be prescribed.
Also see your doctor if the following signs and symptoms occur together with neck pain:
Severe pain from an injury. After head or neck trauma, such as whiplash or a blow to your head, see your doctor immediately. Severe pain over a bone might indicate a fracture or an injury to a ligament.
Shooting pain. Pain radiating to your shoulder, through your shoulder blades or down your arm, or numbness or tingling in your fingers, may indicate nerve irritation. Neck pain from nerve irritation can last from three to six months or longer. Because serious problems may occur after continued nerve irritation, see your doctor.
Loss of strength. Weakness in an arm or a leg, walking with a stiff leg, or shuffling your feet indicates the need for immediate evaluation.

Usually the cuff ribbing is cut double the required length plus doubled seam allowances (ie 3" x 2 = 6; add two 5/8" for seams = 1.25"'; equals 7.25" long). It is doubled so when it is folded in half and stitched to the leg, there will be no seams showing outside). The width of the ribbing is probably an inch or so shorter than the leg bottom--it should be large enough for the foot to fit through but tight enough that it hugs (not squeezes) the leg.

Sew the cuff together lengthwise to make a circle. Fold it in half with the stitched seam inside. Then fold the circle widthwise with the seamline at one end. Mark the halfway point opposite the seamline. Then fold in half again with the seamline and the first pin matching together. Mark the other two ends. You've divided it into equal fourths. Repeat the same procedure marking the pajama leg in fourths. Then match the seamline of the ribbing to the seamline of the leg (right sides together). Match the other three marks on the cuff to the three marks on the pajama leg bottom. You'll have the stretch the ribbing because it should be a bit smaller in circumference than the leg bottom. Stretch the ribbing to match the leg bottom and stitch the ribbing and leg bottoms together. Turn right side out.

Here are some of the effective shin splints stretches:
1) In a kneeling position, point your toes out behind and gently sit back on your heels pressing the tops of the feet towards the ground.
2) Standing arm length from a wall, put your hands on the wall while keeping your feet and knees straight, then lean forward as far as possible.
3) Standing with your feet flat, bend your knees forward as far as possible keeping your heels on the floor.
4) Put feet flat on the ground and have a partner hold them down. Partner applies resistance to your toes and you lift them up against the pressure.
5) Sitting with your left ankle on right knee, apply pressure to inside of your foot (near big toe) with hand, then and turn your foot up and in, using the leg muscles.
6) In the same position as above, put pressure to the outside of the foot (near little toe) with your hand, and turn foot down and out using the leg muscles.
7) In the same position as above, put pressure to the top of foot (near toes) with your hand, and lift the foot using leg muscles. Repeat these with the right ankle on the left knee.
8) Sit on a table or chair attach a weight (a bucket filled with stones or sand works well) around the foot. Without bending your knee move your foot up and down from the ankle - Start light and work up.
9) Attach one end of a stretching exercise elastic band to the leg of a table or sofa and loop it around the end of the foot. Move your foot up and down and side to side against the bands resistance. Try to draw the letters of the alphabet in the air with your big toe.
10) Stand erect and raise up and down onto your toes several times. You can make it harder by doing it while standing on a step and allowing your calves to stretch over the edge of the step.
11) While sitting lower and raise your feet with the heels on the ground as high and quickly as possible for 60 seconds. This is a great one to do during work days while sitting at your desk.

I would love to. First grab a medicine ball and sit on the floor. Then lean back at a 45 degree angle raise your leg and your feet off the floor and hold the ball with your hands stretch. Rotate the ball and your torso as far as you can to the right and then to the opposite direction without dropping your legs or your arms.

1. VERTICAL HANGING:
This is a simple but an extremely effective stretching exercise which you can do at your home. All you need to have is a solid bar strong enough to hold an individual, fixed at least 7 feet above the ground such that the distance between your feet and the floor is atleast 4-6 inches. Hold your arms neither closer nor wider and start hanging. Hold as long as you can, and as you begin to tire, slowly swing back and forth and try to touch the ground with your feet. Lie on the floor face down with palms on the floor under your shoulders. Begin to arch your spine up leading with your chin. Arch as far back as possible. Do 3-4 repetitions with each repetition lasting between 5-30 seconds
3. PILATES ROLL OVER:
This is an excellent workout to stretch your spine and lengthen your upper body. Apart from your spine, it also stretches and lenghthens the vertebrae of your neck.
Lie on your back with your arms along your sides, palms down. With your legs together, extend them straight up toward the ceiling and bend them backwards so that they touch the floor. It may not be possible to touch the floor at first, but you can do this by practice. The more your stretch, the more your spine lenghthens
4. FORWARD SPINE STRETCH:
Sit up tall on a mat. Your legs are extended about shoulder width apart, and your feet are flexed. Reach the top of your head but let your shoulders stay relaxed. Inhale and extend your arms out in front of you and slowly bend forward and try to touch the tips of your toes. If you are able to touch your toetips, stretch even forward so that your spine is flexed to the maximum extent.
Do 3-4 repetitions and hold each stretch for 10-15 seconds
5. ANKLE WEIGHTS: This exercise is solely intended to increase the length of your lower body, by stretching the cartilate between your knees. Prolonged stretching will elongate the cartilage and increase its mass, which in turn will increase the length your lower body
Sit on a high chair and use a Ankle weight fastener to add weights to your ankle. Start with small weights initially and gradually increase as you go on. Allow your legs to stretch down with the pressure of the weights. Once completed, remove the weights and relax your legs by kicking your legs gently for 5-10 times, and then vigorously for 5-10 times. This will flex your knee cartilate to enable it to grow in length

Perform the Workout 3 times a week for optimal results
