First to be check is your power supply. Used power supply or brand new ones, does not matter as long as it is working properly, with correct voltage and ampere rating. Check your power supply with a voltmeter. Please take note also the total watts you need.. If your power supply is running good, problems will go down the line, the Motherboard. Remove all devices (hard disk, cards, memory, etc) just the motherboard, just to see if the motherboard is working right. Your should be hearing a beep sound indicating that the board is alive. If yes, you may reinstall the rest of the devices you removed.

TMA doesn't work ;code 22


If 22 is blinking in the Scanner LCDThe Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA) may be attached incorrectly or is broken.
  1. Disconnect the scanner power cord.
  2. Disconnect the TMA cord from the scanner.
  3. Verify there are no bent or broken pins in the cord plug of the TMA. If the cord has bent or broken pins, it will be necessary to contact HP .
  4. Reconnect the TMA cord to the scanner.
  5. Perform a self-test on the TMA. Click here for instructions to do a self-test on the TMA (bps05670) .
  6. Check that the TMA is properly positioned on the scanner glass; either reposition the TMA in the positioning plate or reposition the positioning plate on the scanner glass.
  7. Reconnect the power cord to the scanner.
  8. Attempt to scan.
If 22 "The scanner could not scan" displays on the screen and the Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA) is being used
  1. Disconnect the scanner power cord.
  2. Disconnect the TMA cord from the scanner.

The printer cannot read from the computer, what do I need to do tried all cables

My X1240 will not scan copy or print even with the computer.The only thing it will do is that the power light will come on....

Canon I9900 self test


You might be able to initiate the self test by powering it off first. Then, when you power it on, hold the power button down for 5 to 10 seconds continuously. In many cases, that will start the self test to run, But hold the button down for 5 to 10 seconds without letting it up at all, upon turning it on.

Printer will not print out anything

Please disconnect and then reconnect the power supply on the printer and make sure it makes a setup noise when the cable is reattached. Will the printer perform a form feed with paper loaded when the gray button is pressed?

Next, try this printer self-test by following the steps given below:

1. Turn the printer's "Power" off (metal button).
2. Press and hold the "Paper Feed" (gray) button.
3. While holding the "Paper Feed" button down turn the "Power" button on and hold both buttons until the power light comes on 5-7 seconds.
4. Release both "Power" and "Paper Feed" buttons.
5. The printer should feed a sheet of paper in and print a test page.
The self-test should at least print out a set of either black or color bars, if not both (if you have a printer with both color and black installed simultaneously). Should this test fail, try it again without cartridges installed. If the self-test still fails to take paper in and make sounds like the carrier is moving across the paper, this is a hardware issue, and the printer will require service. If the self-test completes without any cartridges installed, run the self-test again with the color cartridge installed. (If you have both black and color cartridges, after this test, run the test again with just the black cartridge installed.) Should this test fail, try it again without cartridges installed. Self-Test Feature Check (STFC) Your monitor provides a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your monitor is functioning properly. If your monitor and computer are properly connected but the monitor screen remains dark, run the monitor self-test by performing the following steps:
  1. Turn off both your computer and the monitor.
  2. Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer. To ensure proper Self-Test operation, remove Analog (blue connector) cables from the back of computer.
  3. Turn on the monitor. The floating 'Dell - self-test Feature Check' dialog box should appear on-screen (against a black background) if the monitor cannot sense a video signal and is working correctly. While in self-test mode, the power LED remains green and the self-test pattern will scroll through the screen continually.
  4. Turn off your monitor and reconnect the video cable; then turn on both your computer and the monitor.
If your monitor screen remains blank after you use the previous procedure, check your video controller and computer system; your monitor is functioning properly.
