The aspire notebook will not work with a external mouse, extended keypad, light, multi usb port. anyne know why it says "hidusb.sys." I know the items are not faulty.

Thanks, I have now tried that and its still not working. The printer I bought recently does but that has an installation disc, whereas the cordless mouse and usb extensions do not. I cannot understand it because my daughters laptop (not a Aspire) accepts and works them right away.

Hi,
It might be you have some registry issue. You might want to check below link to check your registry
