How can I connect my Canon Camcorder MV700 to my computer Acer aspire L3600 ?

Please refer page 118 of the manual of Cannon MV700 available from this website.

http://files.canon-europe.com/files/soft24377/manual/MV690_MV700_Series_CUG_EN.pdf

You can connect camcorder with Acer Aspire using a USB port and cable.
But this interface only allows transfer of still images from the SD card on the camera. It will not allow video images to be transferred from the tape.

Some models of Acer also have flywire interface (IEEE1394) and also SD card reader. You can use these also to download video images from the camcorder.

Window 7 problem cannot detect my video cam

After connecting the Camcorder to the Computer with the Firewire/i.LINK, turn ON the Camcorder.
Keep the Camcorder in Playback mode.
Start the Moviemaker Software which is pre-installed in the Windows.
Check whether the Camcorder is recognized as the Video Device.

If the Camcorder is not recognized, then check whether it works with other Computer or not.
You may also try using a different i.LINK cable that is compatible with the Sony Camcorder.
Sony Camcorder have 4 pin DV Interface and the Computers may have either 4pin or 6-pin i.LINK/Firewire port. So make sure that you are using the correct cable.

Symptom shows its ccd imager chi failure problem and ccd imager chip will be replaced in your camcorder.
CCD Imager chip is an electronic part that converts an image into electronic signal for further process in camcorder circuit boards.
Take your camcorder to local camera repair shop for ccd imager replacement as it is not user level repair and requires qualified tech.

My camera will not charge, it will power up when pluggd in, but will not charge and the charge light does not illuminate

I will say to replace your camera charger or the adapter cable that it is supposed to charge it . Digital things by nature are good for a limited time if not taken care of properly and even if you do take care of them right ,after certain number of cycles the switches fail , the cables , the chargers ,etc.

I need a driver for a sony DCR-30 that is compatible with windows vista

it's really a common problem, im actually a Sony agent and i've been seeing this problem since win vista OS came up, the problem is that your camcorder needs to import the video live to the computer, what we call " stream". Winsows Vista didnt come with this feature, so what is going to be the solution at the end is to get a different type of connection called "i.link", or weel known as Firewire. That is going to be compatible with your win vista OS computer, OR get a "dazzle" from Pinnacle Studio, they've developed a new kind of connection wich actually alows you to connect your A/V connection (the one that you use for your TV) to this box that converts that to USB, i hope that you can solve your problem with this info.

Cnt install camcorder software

Try installing the PMB software from this Link.

Follow the exact same steps as mentioned under Download and Installation Instructions on the page.

If the issue persists, disconnect the Camcorder, turn it OFF, connect it to the Computer and then turn it ON.

Then continue with installation process.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Transferring from the PC back to the camcorder

Since the transfer of digital signal to the camcorder is fully automatic (no controls or adjustments of the process are active other then start or stop) the signal coming from the computer MUST be continuous. If any glitches or interruptions are present in the signal coming from the computer, the camcorder will automatically cancel the connection.
