Hi
my Exilim EX Z60 battery light is flashing when I try to charge it.
after a while I place it in the camera and there is no power.
Does this mean that the battery is dead ?

I have the same problem. I called Casio and they sent me a replacement battery within days. Now I went to charge the replacement battery and the charge light is blinking again. It looks like I must call Casio once again and this time I'm going to voice my concern. If it comes down to it I might turn to lemon law.

I called their support number in the user's manual and the service rep said to mail the old battery a lithium ion NP-20 3.7v 700 mAh rating to them and they did send me back another battery of the same size and also made in China. It worked for three months and now it is also blinking red when trying to charge it. I think they are defective and even the replacements are not working as they should. Casio should use another manufacturer for their camera batteries. I will call them again to see if I can get another replacement sent to me. The camera stores are also aware of this problem and recommended that I buy a different brand of battery for my Casio Exilim EX-Z60.
I'm having the same problem, my Casio Exilim has worked fine for almost a year and then recently when I try to charge the battery the light flashes rather than staying lit, and the camera won't turn on. I will buy a new battery or contact Casio if I have to. Just been looking around online and this seems quite common, I'm wondering if it's a casio/exilim problem, or common with all cameras and batteries?
