Question about Itronix VR-2 Notebook Data Terminal - P/N VR2ABABAAYAAZZAAAAAB

Open Question

I need to upgrade the RAM of my General Dynamics Itronix VR2 but I can't find a way of disassemble the laptop to reach the memory bank under the keyboard. I don't have a disassembly guide or a service manual to help. I have opened part of the laptop but getting the keyboard out is something that eludes me.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

After bios upgrade had same problem. DISCONNECT AC POWER PULLED BATTERY FOR AT LEAST 5 MINUTES THEN REATTACHED BATTERY AND FAN WORKED ON NEXT RESTART. Also make sure boot menu ( tap F12 at start-up) is set to boot from Hard Drive. I also started on battery power with no ac adapter.

Won't come up, powers up only, no display. Was unplugged before shutdown.

Start taking your laptop apart piece by piece and test it after each removed component:
1. Remove the hard drive and test the laptop.
2. Remove the DVD drive and test the laptop.
3. Remove the wireless card and test the laptop.
4. Unplug the display panel from the motherboard/video card and test the laptop.
etc....
Continue taking it apart until you have only three major components connected: motherboard (with video card), processor, and memory. If you still experience the same problem, most likely it's bad motherboard.
By the way, before you start, try reconnecting the memory module. If you have two modules installed, try removing them one by one and test the laptop with each one separately.
