Question about Canon Office Equipment & Supplies
Are you having any trouble printing to the printer? Is this message appearing on the printer itself or the computer? You may want to try deleting the printer and reinstalling the software/drivers. To delete the printer go to start>control panel>printers and faxes and right click and delete it. to download the latest drivers follow this link then click on drivers and software and select your OS:

Unplug the printer from power for 2-3 minutes, now turn it on and then press the OK button for 5-10 seconds or until the error resets itself. If this doesn't work then remove the cartridges and restart the printer, wait for the insert cartrdige message and insert the cartrdiges. Now press & hold the cancel button until the processing cartridges message appears. Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.

Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating
system when requested. Look for manuals on the site.
An Error Message Is Displayed on the LCD (MP220 series)
The FINE Cartridge may not be installed properly, or the Cartridge may not be compatible with this machine. Open the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) and install the appropriate FINE Cartridge.
If the error is not resolved, the FINE Cartridge may be damaged. Contact your Canon Service representative.
