Because the flash memory chip is worn out a little every time you write on it. If you would use like that it would die in less than an hour.

  1. Power down your phone. Turn it back on and boot into Recovery mode. This is a bit different for every phone, so you'll have to Google how to do it for your specific model. Usually it involves holding down another button, like Volume Down, as you turn your phone on. HTC phones will have to then select "Recovery" from a menu, while other phones will boot directly into ClockworkMod. You'll know you're in ClockworkMod by the words "ClockworkMod Recovery" at the top of the screen.
  2. Use your volume keys to navigate the menus, and your power button to select menu items. Scroll down to Advanced, and choose "Wipe Dalvik Cache". When that's finished, go back to the main screen and choose "Wipe Cache Partition". Lastly, head to "Wipe Data/Factory Reset". This will delete all your settings and apps, but you should still be using the correct ROM.
  3. Reboot your phone.

  4. With any luck, it should boot right into your ROM. If that didn't work, try with the same ROM (or with a different ROM) and see if you get different results.
  5. if you boot up your phone, it might go straight into the bootloader?check to see whether you can choose "Recovery" from the list before continuing to the next step. HTC phones usually don't boot straight into recovery.

  • In this case, you'll want to reflash the ROM from scratch. Try again with the ROM that messed up your phone, if you so choose, but if that doesn't work, try an entirely different ROM. The best way to do this is to download a ROM from somewhere on the net and putting it on your SD card. You'll need to take the SD card out of your phone, and you'll need an SD card reader that you can plug into your computer. Here's how it works:
  • P

    1. Plug the SD card into your computer. Drag the ROMs ZIP file to your SD card, and wait for it to copy.
    2. When it's done copying, eject the SD card and put it back in your phone. Reboot into Recovery mode.
    3. Use your volume keys to navigate the menus, and your power button to select menu items. Scroll down to "Install ZIP From SD Card" and navigate to the ZIP file you just copied over. Give it time to flash the ROM.
    4. When it's done, reboot your phone.

    5. Hopefully, your phone should successfully boot into the new ROM. From there, you can probably assume that the previous ROM that messed up your phone isn't going to work, and you'll have to find another ROM for now?or find another copy of that ROM that isn't corrupted. Remember to make backups of your working ROMs so you don't lose all your data!

HTC phones can flash stock ROMs, known as RUUs, right from the phone's bootloader. You'll need to Google around for your device's specific RUU file, but once you download it, save the ZIP file to your SD card, and rename it (to something like PG05IMG.zip?the download page for the RUU file should specify which filename is required), booting up your phone should automatically flash the stock ROM from HBOOT, HTC's bootloader.
  • This is the restore image

My computer wont format my micro sd card

Is it an SD card or a microSD card? If it's a 4GB (or larger) card then it's neither, but instead an SDHC or a microSDHC.

If the card is an SDHC/microSDHC then your card reader may be only SD-compatible. If this is the case then you can buy an SDHC-compatible card reader and use that. Alternatively, if you want to use this card with some other device, such as a camera or a phone, format the card in that device instead of in your computer.

Need a North America SD Card map for my European Garmin nüvi 255w. Where can I buy one on line

You can buy direct from Garmin via this link. You can opt for instant download, purchase of SD memory cards or DVD ROM medium. You may also be able to buy maps at some of the outdoor stores and electronics specialty shops.

If you plan on using this GPS in North America from this point on, you might want to look into purchasing a "Lifetime Maps" subscription for about $119 instead of the one-time map purchase for $79. The subscription allows you do download updated maps up to 4 times per year, for life of the GPS. Contact Garmin Support directly for more info about this option.

I bought a panasonic DMC-LS80 last june and i missplaced the CD-rom disc for this camera, therfor my laptop wont be able to read any SD card from this camera ,what can i do or will i be able to get a new...

I do not believe that cd-rom has anything to do with reading an SD card at all. I think if I remember correctly it is a photo album type program and I thought it stinks. Your best bet is getting an SD card reader which some are very cheap on e-bay and fit into a usb slot. You place the card into the reader and it will download your picture files taken with the 80. Your windows program picture viewer or similar should be able to show your pictures on your computer. I personally took out the cd-rom panasonic program and use windows picture viewer or similar

    R4 card

search on-line for an r4ds firmware(system file). download file ,usually a .rar file (use winrar to open it)
    format your sd card.
send system files to sd card.
open system files on sd card and then send the five files back to sd card.

download your games (romulation.net ,the best site on the web)
again these files will be .rar
open them with winrar then send only the nds file to your sd card.
keep loading as many games as you can.
    happy gaming.

if some games don't work then look for newer firware..

    New route

    From Delphi tech support:

    NAV200 SD Card Reformat

    Problem:

Customer reports that the NAV200 has lost its voice prompts and/or constantly reads NEW ROUTE.

    Solution:

Reformat SD card from FAT-32 to FAT. And replace files on SD card with back up files from DVD-ROM.

    Reason for Problem:

The navlib.ini file located in the navigation files (in mnav) is missing from the SD card. It is located in mnav in the back up files found on the DVD-ROM

CD & SD Card stuck in Asus Pro31F notebook

gant really help on the sd prob.sd usually push in to insert and push in again to remove.
cant imagine how you can get cd stuck between rom and chassis.anyway if you look closely at your rom you will see a small hole.you push a thin piece of wire into this to eject the rom hopefully giving you more room to play with and remove disk.a paperclip made straight is an ideal tool for this.
as for repair;tell me your model and i'll check to see if I have it
I have nearly all hp service repair manuals, some toshiba and ibm

    Rx3715 several problems

If you have only flashed the English ROM, not any other language ROMs, read the following paragraphs. If you have flashed other language ROMs but not the German one try flashing the German one instead, there is something about it that clears the ppc out better. If you have flashed the German one, do not read on, as it will be an insult to your intelligence.

Most problems can be fixed with a ROM correction. Unfortunately, this is unachievable by simple re-flashing the English ROM. Certain other versions of the ROM (usually German is used) contain different enough sets of code (possibly different firmware?) to force the ppc to truly reset, unlike what happens when simply flashing the US ROM or changing to ROMS that use similar enough coding. Try flashing the German ROM and THEN reverting to the English. This tends to solve most any major iPaq issue.
