1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
4. The power button could be bad.
5. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced.

Unit switches off and displays error code 02-57

According to:

bassfisherman60

From the manual
02-57 Fan lock
This code is output when fan locking (over 30 seconds) is detected.
After the error message is displayed, the power turns off.

Perhaps opening the unit with the power unplugged (of course!) and clearing/cleaning the fan would help. It may be that the fan is just clogged with dust/debris.

Check underneath the refrigerator to see if the coils are clean. If they are covered with gunk, clean them.

Next, check the operation of the compressor (close to the coils mentioned above) and the compressor fan (also near the coils toward the rear of the refrigerator). Both of these must run for the unit to have the proper level of cooling. If the compressor fan is not turning, you will need to replace the fan motor.

Another possibility would be an inoperative evaporator fan inside the freezer unit. However, when this fails, the freezer often remains adequately cold at the top. The refrigerator part does not get cold enough.

Air conditioner motor

Your condenser fan costs less an $100 if you install it yourself. First with the system on and calling for cooling take a screw driver and spin the fan blade. If the fan comes on then it has a bad bearing, if it doesn't it's electrical. With power off remove the access panel and inspect the wiring etc.. Possible run capacitor.

Hi fi wont turn on !

hi. im assuming its a technics / panasonic system judging by the F 61 error code? try testing the cooling fan at the rear (assuming it has one) i once had the same error code on my technics amp and it turned out to be a faulty cooling fan. after replacement out of a scrap unit, the amp worked perfect.
