Getting late started and many virus

If your system will not boot up correctly and you suspect a virus is the problem, a recommended solution is to start your computer in safe mode and run a virus scan. By running your computer in safe mode, non-essential processes do not start and non-core components are disabled. In other words, only the minimum necessary programs will load. Tough to remove viruses, spyware and other malware usually have no chance to run and disrupt your system and can more easily be removed.
To run a virus scan in safe mode, you must have active anti virus software installed on your computer.
To run a virus scan in safe mode, follow these steps:
1.If your computer is on, shut it down
2.Power on your computer
3.Immediately after you power on your computer, repeatedly press the [F8] key (about once per second)
4.In the Windows Advanced Options Menu screen, use the arrows to select Safe Mode and presss [Enter]
5.Select your current operating system and press [Enter]
6.Select the user you would like to login under (if applicable)
7.When your system finishes booting, click the Start button on your task bar
8.Move your cursor over All Programs and navigate to your anti virus program
9.Click on your antiv virus program to run it and follow the anti virus program's normal steps to run a virus scan
10.After the virus scan is complete, Delete all detected viruses
11.Close out of your anti virus software
12.Restart your computer (it should start in normal mode)

Your Feedback is greatly appreacited.Thank you for using FIXYA.

My dvd player says protect and switches itself off

is it the dvd and not your computer closing the first reason for this could be the event of a memory dump about to occur and windows has closed to protect the data on your hard drive you might be running to many programs at the one time or might not have enough RAM installed try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to fix any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive this will schedule on a restart then defragment your hard drive or
click start control panel administrive tools, computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start tick in both boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart
do not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage your computer
then you should test or replace all leads make sure they are securely seated and are not bad/faulty that are attached to your (((motherboard to your hard drive)))
then click start all programs accessories system tools defragment your hard drive
you might have to install more RAM random access memory to check how much ram you have
to check the details on your computer
click start all programs accessories system tools system imformation you will see all of your computers imformation from there another way of doing this

click start right click on my computer, properties advanced scroll down to system and recovery open settings write and debugging information the drop down button select none
ideally, it should already be the default debugger for your system.
The Dr. Watson debugger program logs all information related to failed processes to the Drwtsn32.log file. In addition to this, the debugger program can be configured to create memory dump files related to the failed processes. You can refer these dump files to analyze the reason behind a process failure.
Perform the following steps to configure Dr. Watson as the default debugger program to record user-mode program errors:

  1. Open Start menu, select Run, type Drwtsn32.exe -I and then press Enter. This command sets Dr. Watson as the default debugger.
  2. Next, run the Drwtsn32.exe command.
  3. In the Dr. Watson for Windows dialog box, select the following check boxes:
    • Append to Existing Log File
    • Visual Notification
    • Create Crash Dump File
  4. Now, when your computer restarts after the STOP 0xC000021A error is generated, run the Dr. Watson command.
  5. Here, view the paths to the Dr. Watson and User.dmp logs.
  6. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the log files and then open them.
  7. Here, check the cause behind the STOP 0xC000021A error.
also you might download and use this registry cleaner it is totally free to use

another one of the possibile reaons is

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they are probably faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
click start control panel administrive tools, computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart
do not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input will damage your computer

hope this helps

Computer running slow

Slow with programs or slow online?
Try holding ctrl+alt+del and click on the performance tab to see how much available memory you have.
You possibly could be infected. Try AVG free virus software. It finds them when others dont.
