Sounds like your idle fuel mixure is too lean, depending on how old you trimmer is, it should have 3 adjustment scews, one for the idle, one for the low idle mixure, and one for the high idle mixure. If all three are a flathead screw type you can make the adjustment yourself. look for the one labeled "low" and make your adjustment counterclock wise in 1/4 turn increments until it runs properly. you shouldn't have to adjust the high mixure screw. if you don't have the screw type adjustments, them you may need to buy a special tool (available at most lawn mower shops) to make the nessesary adjustment. make sure you leave the Idle Screw alone though( the one that move the cable) as adjusting this one will make adjusting the mixure harder to get right.

Sear craftsman push weedeater model # is leaking gas at the point where the fuel line goes into the carb.....the leak seems to be at the point where there is a little square white plastic...

Kimberley this may help. First drain all fuel out and leave to dry. If there is any spare fuel line available you may be able to cut the line fresh and push it on or better still buy some silicone sealant for baths and put some of that around where it's leaking from. Really push it in and leave for exactly 24 hrs to dry. If it is a brand new carb it may be a manufacturing fault so take it back before doing any of this.

I have a 32cc craftsman weedeater. I put new fuel lines on it because they were falling apart, and I don't have the fuel filter on it right now, will that make a difference? It will start, but as soon as I...

Hi, yes the filter is in place to protect the delicate workings inside of the carburetor. Something my be blocked partially letting some fuel pass but when the throttle is turned up the supply cannot match the demand and it fails. Try to give the carb a good cleaning. If the the fuel lines are such that they need replacing then the carb itself could probably use some attention. hope this

Craftsman 32cc would not idle

If you are certain that you have correcting gaped the plug then the next step is to readjust the low end idle carburetor. If you look you should see two holes in the plastic cover that lead to the flow adjustment screws they may even be out in the open. If they are not labeled H and L (the L is the one you want), check your manual for the correct one. A good place to start is turning the screw all the way in then backing it out 1 1\2 turns. Then check it. If you still have problems do 1\4 turns out. After about one full turn from that you might want to consider taking the carburetor off and removing the float bowl or the bottom for a good cleaning. A sticking float could cause problems with your fuel flow.
Hope this helps.

Craftsman 32cc weed eater wont start. Push in the primer bulb and it does not refill, stays stuck in!

Check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks. If they are o.k., then:

You willneed to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner. Makesure the small screen is free of debris.(Should be able to see daylightthrough it.)

Use a Den Tek Brush, (,to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

If the carb. parts are more than 4 years old, you may have to replace them.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

Craftsman weedeater wont start

The problem that I had with my craftsman was that I found that there was a tube in the fuel tank that goes to the carb, & at the other end - inside the tank, there was a small screen with maybe a weight on it (to keep it in the gas no matter what position the weedeater is in). Mine was plugged up and i went to the saw shop and got a generic hose & end with the screen deal & changed them out. Solved my problem. Rick
