I've tried formatting it but it says "windows was unable to complete the format". Also, when i use a card reader, it doesnt show up. when i double click the removable drive its in, "My Computer" doesnt respond and i have to control, alt, delete. Can anyone help me?

The card has been scrambled and may not be recoverable. Try putting it in a digital camera or camcorder and format it there. But make sure that the camera can handle a card that large. Some will not. You also might try to format it in a printer. Some of the HP printers have a slot for it and some Kodak also. The problem with the Kodak is that some have their own format that is not compatible with your computer card reader unless you have the Kodak software loaded. But, and this is only an educated guess, getting a successful format from *any* machine may "wake up" the card so it can be formatted on your computer.
