Hi,
If you have water leaking out from the inside of the unit.... yes, you are doomed...I hate to say that but those are not repairable and to install a new heat exchanger will be more cost and trouble then it is worth....how old is your unit??? I have few out that were installed in the last couple of years and have been wondering about the life span... of course water quality will make a difference also...
Nortiz, does cover their **** and make all kinds of requirements for water quality in the warranty....

Sorry but I would look into replacement... they really do make lots of hot water very efficiently so in the long run you probably saved a ton of money...

No power on unit/Remote Controller

try leaving the remote unplugged and unplug the unit for 10 seconds and plug only the unit back in. If you get hot water without the remote connected but nothing after doing the same thing with the remote connected then your remote may have shorted out. Otherwise your circuit board may have had a short. In which case, call Noritz for a replacement.

I have a noritz 069 M and what has been happening For the last few months is that while taking a shower the hot water will get super hot then shut off. The only way for it to come back on is to turn...

well it is time to get the the two way valves to both side, I would use only a product the noritz says to use.

Now if you cant get it you can get other products that break up lime and scale from you local store that sells plumbing product. I you can see I dont list a store or a product I am here to help you repair your heater, Not have you buy from one store or an other.

With that being said you can vinegar but dont use acid. If yuo "burn" the inside of the heat exhanger you jusy might be buying a new unit. also Please flush out the system with cold water for at least 10 mins. with the 3 way valves that should be very easy to do.

You also might have a lime build uo in the faucet also which will affect how they work. You may want to replaced and cleanout the cartridge and see if you have a lime build up. If that is the case you might want to think about a low priced water filter or softener.

Hope this helps you out and please dont for get to rate me, and Be safe

Will not try to lite

1) First make sure you are getting power into the unit.
2) Then check for any visible water inside the unit which might indicate a leak.
3) The third possibility is the flow sensor being stuck. Try opening a large flow of water (bath tub, two sinks and shower) and see if the unit fires. Otherwise you may want to contact a servicer to clean this component.

sounds like you are getting an ignition failure code. Check the inside of the unit for evidence of a leaking HEX.

once its in, pressurize the water before connecting power. If you didnt' get the c-clamps on correctly, they will spray water. its better to have the power disconnected if you get water inside the unit.

Noritz 069 error 11

error code 11 is an ignition problem. make sure your gas pipe is sized properly, if your on propane check your tank and make sure it's not low or when it's running take the cover off and look in the flame window and make sure it's an even flame if not you probably have a gas control valve problem
