Mine does that too. depending on the type of controller, if its one where you put batteries in it you can tape the back batterie pack to the bottom of the controller to stop it moving out of place. the wires inside are probavly a bit loose.

Try resetting the controller by pressing the little button in the small hole on the back of the controller while the controller is on for 5 sec then re-sync the controller

I was playing fallout then it just shut off on me what happened?

1. First, ensure that you are using the original file of the game.
2. It seems there have been issues with fallout 3.
3. It seems the game freezes, blacks out several times during the game.
3. They have released a patch to fix the issue.
4. Go check out for the fallout patch for playstation 3 to fix this issue.
5. After this, you should be fine with the game.

Happy gaming! :)

Its half fixed using an Xbox360 emulator found here

http://www.jayceooi.com/2009/01/19/download-xbox-360-controller-emulator-for-pc-games/

The game now recognises the controller and allows you to map the button to moves/actions but once game play starts its not working
A lot of people have had 100% success but with so many software /hardware configurations it hard to a match. There are a load of forums regarding the emulator so I will be searching them in the coming days.

Fallout 3 Freezing Problems???

Fallout 3 freezing is an unfortunately common problem. A lot of people have reported that clearing the game cache on your 360 will fix it, so that's what I would suggest you try first.

To do this:
  1. start up your 360, then take out the Fallout 3 game disc.
  2. Hold down the A button on the Player 1 controller
  3. Put Fallout 3 in your 360, then load the game
If this doesn't fix it, the next thing you could try is to clear the system cache. This will clear the entire cache for your 360, including the automatic updates (though downloaded content, save files, and user dats will be untouched).

To do this:
  1. Navigate to System > Memory
  2. Highlight the hard disk in the list and press Y
  3. Press X, X, LB, RB, X, X
If done right, you should see a message asking, "perform system maintenance?" Proceed with this, and it will clear all the cache data out and revert Fallout 3 back to version 1.0 (it should ask you to update once you load the game)

Hope this helps - I've had my share of frustration with Fallout 3 glitches.

Freezing all around the game on fallout 3 PC

when the game fallout 3 has even the tinyest scratch in the right place some parts of the map freeze because the game data is unreadable.
try cleaning the disk
and if that dosnt work you might have to consider getting a new game.

Frozen Fallout 3

I would download the game to the hard drive and it freezes a lot because its on open world rgp so it has to load a lot.. But if you download Fall Out 3 to your hard drive it will increase load times and reduce freezing.
