New Bushnell Backtrack won't turn on.

I have the same problem with my Backtrack. I unlock back battery cover, unscrew some screws. Then I take the screen, check connection - it's ok. Then I try to close power switch with screwdriver. It started, but doesnt worked. There are some symbols on the screen. It's all I can do. My BackTrack still won't worked. For comments: greenspot@mail.ru

Compass mode does not point anywhere close to North...about 90 degrees off...

The instrument must have come in contact with a permanent magnet which has altered the polarity position of the floating magnetic needle in the instrument thus throwing it off course. However if the reading is consistent you may continue to use it by compensating it by 90 deg
