Could be bad ground or you crossed the yellowwith the red wire. yellow is battery red is ignition and you usually dont use the other ones unless its a newer vehicle. also these ones have 2 blue wires 1 power ant and the remote lead

2007 h3 radio not working and display time and "phone". if battery is disconnected it comes back on then goes right back after turned off and started back up.

1st mistake: you didn't get an H1 lol
2: Most modern cars have an anti-theft device installed in the radio. That means if the battery becomes disconnected for ANY reason your radio won't work without a special code being entered. Your local Hummer dealership should be able to provide you with a code. The code is NOT the same for every vehicle.

I disconnected battery and antenna for 2003 acura tl but code wont take

on the TL - 5 digit code for the radio; 4 for navi; numbers are typically on a sticker on the side of the glovebox (nearest radio) or rear truck arm (great security acura?). Need to unplug the antenna and then put in the code, reconnect the antenna and your back in business. search the net to learn how to access the back of the radio. typically needed after power is lost to the vehicle, new battery installed, etc.

I have a 2005 Honda Accord. The radio has been hot to touch since i had gotten the car. Iv taken it back to Honda in the beginning but thy kept saying they don't understand and not getting the same...

Could be a bad wiring job, blown speaker or pinched wire.

1st step would be to disconnect all speakers - the deck should no longer get hot. If it does, you have a bad deck.
2nd step - hook one speaker up at a time until it gets hot. - Then you know what speaker/wire is the problem. Fix that.

Wont hold charge in expedition

  1. Check the wiring of the new radio installed as follows..
  2. Disconnect battery ground
  3. verify radio ground wire is grounded to metal
  4. verify radio hot wire (normally red and thick) is connected to a power source that is off when the ignition key is in the "off" position.
  5. verify that the always hot wire is connect to a constant 12v power supply even with the ignition off.
  6. make sure the pwr antenna wire if not used is taped at the tip and not touching any metal.
  7. verify that all speaker wires are connect correctly and not shorted to ground.
  8. connect battery ground you may get a small spark if your courtesy lites work.
  9. start engine verify your battery is charging by disconnecting the battery ground cable while the engine is running, it should continue running if it don't, alternator maybe bad.
  10. If it continues running problem solved..

Bose Radio in 2004 SSR , no sound from CD or Radio but it lights up & changes from CD to Radio! Problem started after getting new Batt. at dealership!

Problem solved by disconnecting hot leed at fuze box located under the front hood for 15 min. This made the radio reset it`s self & it now works better than it did when I bought the truck in 2004! The dealership here in Blue Springs, MO. problably didn`t use the power saving device that is to be pluged into the cig. lighter socket when they installed the new batt.! If you want it done right, do it yourself! Walter Kirk.
