How do I update computer bios

Hiyou do not need to update the bios of your computer (systemax desktop pc ) because the current version of your bios is still up to date. If you are having a problem and you want your computer bios default all you need to do is to remove the cmos battery for 1 minute just to be sure because the standard wait time is only 30 sec. put it back after 1 minute. automatically the bios will be back to default settings

In CMOS setip utility, I am not able to load fail safe or optimized defaults or set supivisor password.

Try opening up your computer and removing the CMOS battery. Should be the only battery on your motherboard (the thing everything plugs into) this will usually reset your bios. Some bios also have a jumper that needs to be switched but without knowing your motherboard model I can't be sure.

How to replace the cmos battery in a systemaxmodel#N241S1

it's the round silver battery right on the motherboard.... unplug the computer first. there is small tab that you move sideways with your fingernail. when that clip is moved far enough the battery will pop out of the holder... to replace the battery put it back into the holder with the round side toward the clip and push down gently... it should snap into place.

Systemax Laptop Need Restored

Are you talking about the operating system admin password, or the bootup CMOS settings password(s). If it is windows, you can find the administrative password by downloading one of the freeware utilities at this link:

If it is the CMOS password, you can reset it by removing the coin battery on the motherboard on the laptop (this can be *very* tricky depending on the laptop make/model)
