Hi Christine, This is a common problem with the nano V. Have a good look inside the ipod connector with a spyglass to make sure there is no debris or foreign objects. Hi. Try to reset the Nano by pressing the middle button and menu at the same time. If same thing happened, i suggest you need to have your sounddock system checked with the manufacturer.
