I bought a used Skybox three weeks ago. Everything was great. Cold drinks and no jams. Tonight it stopped dispensing. Unit is running and cans are still cold. I press any of the four dispensing buttons and nothing. No light, no jam, etc. I did notice a smell that appears to be coming from the door. I'm guessing a bad board. I found one on-line for $34. Do you think this is my problem? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

The Maytag SkyBox is not a commercial vending machine. It is designed for INDOOR use only. The possibility of electric shock is likely from a unit that has gotten wet. In addition, the electronics are not designed to withstand the outdoor elements.
The likely cause is a heavy frost and ice buildup on the internal evaporator plate behind the dispensing unit. Unplug the unit and open the door for 24 hours. Plug the unit back in, reset the thermostat to the 11:00 position.
For the soda name tags, I pulled logos off the internet and printed them the correct size on 20-pound paper. Different paper gives different translucence, so you might have to experiment to get the right amount of light coming through. PS: thanks for the part no. on the relay
Looks like I found the answer to the problem of Skybox not dispensing. I replaced the sensor in the dispensing door and my Skybox now works great! Part is available from partselect.com just look up your Skybox model number, mine was Skybox model MBV1976AAB. The diagram on the website should show you the exploded view of the door section of your Skybox. You are looking for partselect.com part number 901892 or on the exploded view it will be number 21. The Maytag part number is 11001182, board flipper sensor. My Skybox had been down for two years and now works again!
The flashing lights usually indicate a jam or the flapper door not met which means a drink already dispensed. Just guessing here, but you may have a board problem. I have removed one dispensing drive motor and if I press that button all lights blink until I open the door and close it. Any chance you have a lot of ice buildup in the back? That could be causing a short or even caused connectors to loosen. A new connector board is $22 on partselect.com but that would again only be a guess. Check some of the other problems listed for other possibilities.
Try PartSelect.com for Skybox parts.
I ordered a part on Monday night and installed it on Wednesday night.
The parts are not that hard to find.

Be sure you have plenty of ventilation behind your machine.
check the door where the cans come out. there is a sensor or the left side. if it is too far away from the door or if it's broken, it will do exactly what you said. i read somewhere that you can adjust the sensor closer to the door. i just bought one of the last one of these on the shelves 2 days ago and mine won't cool at all. stupid maytag..
Since it's only one dispensor unit you should be able to eliminate "common" items and find out what controls just that one dispensor. The faint click may be from a bad relay (relay coil works but doesn't pass voltage on contacts). You will likely have to take the thing apart to check the control board. Here's a diagram of the unit so you can see where everything is at. I'd suspect the control board relay that controls that particular dispensor is bad or a loose wire, etc.
