Once you connected the printer to your laptop see if it was able to detect the printer,
- go to Control Panel
- look for Printers and Faxes and open it
to be be able to print on your printer, right click (still on Printer and Faxes) then select Properties. On the printers menu click PORTS tab then at the bottom find or select USB port, then click OK, after the configuration you can now print.
- connect printer to your laptop, then insert cd and follow the instructions---its just a simple and easy for you to follow.

TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE:
From the printer control panel, press the 'Spanner' icon.
Press the right arrow button, and then press OK
Press OK again.

To print from your macbook laptop you may have to install additional software onto your laptop from the installation CD. Insert the CD and wait for the 'Welcome' screen to appear. (Note if the 'Welcome' screen does not appear after a minute, then click the CD icon on the desktop). Double click 'Install' and follow the screen instructions.
Some additional notes that may apply to your machine(s):
If the printer is connected to a desktop computer through the rear USB port and you decide to connect a laptop computer to the printer through the Quick Connect laptop port, then the Quick Connect laptop port connection overrides the rear USB port connection. The active print jobs on the desktop computer may be cancelled. Pause or cancel active jobs on the desktop computer before switching between ports.
Pause or cancel active jobs on the desktop computer.
Connect a USB cable to the laptop computer and then to the Quick Connect laptop port on the front of the printer.
Warning-Potential Damage: Do not plug in or remove the USB cable from the Quick Connect laptop port while a memory device is being accessed by the printer.
If you have not yet installed the printer software on your laptop then install it now.
Hope this helps
