How do I install a boiler flue

If you are installing a new boiler, there will be detailed instructions within the installation booklet shipped with the boiler. Being high efficiency, it sounds like it will be vented with pvc pipe. If so, it could be either a one pipe or a two pipe system. Make sure you follow specifically the instructions concerning the slope of the flu as there will be some moisture condense inside the pipe. Most manufacturers recommend a minimum fall in the horizontal runs BACK to the furnace, some do not.

There should never be a 'sag' in the horizontal runs caused by supports spread too far apart. The two pipe system draws combustion air from outside the home and minimizes any chance of negative pressure in the case of an extremely tight home. That negative pressure is usually never an issue for a normal home, because of leakages around doors and windows and the normal opening and closing of the doors on a routine day.

Again, follow the instructions provided with the boiler and there will be no problem.

Convert coleman eb15b to natural gas unit

Sorry there is no way to convert it to a gas unit.. The only way is to replace the furnace with a natural gas unit. You will need a gas line ran to it and a Flue. and then room to fit everything in that space.

Damper on a smith boiler is not working right and boiler won't stay on

If it's a flue damper, which I think you are talking about. You will see what looks like the tip of a 1/4" slotted(flat head) screw driver. That is the indicator if open or closed. It should be paralel with the direction of flue pipe. If it's not nearly exect unit will shut down. turn t'stat off or if that's not an option, turn temp down below room temp. wait a few min, turn t'stat on or above room temp and go to boiler as fast as possible.
See if damper is opening and stopping short of opening completely.
You may have built up soot and/or debris in flue causing it not to open all the way.
Please give full model # and do not force open. You may have dectectors that are picking up vapor,-gas probs. You mayl have to do a draft test. Better to be cold, than dead. Sorry for short explination

We have a Wickes balanced flue 65F boiler. The pilot light isn't igniting, also, there appears to be a high level leak from/near the boiler itself of warm water? Can you suggest what might be the problem,...

I would suggest that you check all wiring connections to gas valve, ignitor induced drarft motor if so equipped, flame sensor and thermostat . It sounds to me like you probably need a new ignitor. As for the leak see if you can isolate where it is coming from. You may have to remove some of the casing to find it. It may just be a loose fitting that can be removed taped with teflon tape or coated with pipe thread compound and reinstalled. It is nearly impossible to tell how hard the repair will be until you know the source. Hope this helps. Thanks

Worcester combi gas boiler 3.5 highflow is constantantly dripping water at the external flue position over flow pipe

water vapour is one the main products of combustion of gas. With a standard efficiency boiler, upon initial heat up when the flue is cold this vapour can condensate on the inner wall of the flue but should stop once the flue heats up, to stop this condense dripping back on to the heat exchanger the flue should be tilted towards the outlet and thus on initial heat up water can drip from the flue. with high efficiency (condensing) boilers, condensation will occur in the flue and secondary heat exchanger during normal operation, dispense of this condensate is accommodated for in the boiler and therefor the flue should be tilted towards the boiler, if not the flue will drip constantly.

My ariston boiler is not working it just shows A 01 have reset but still nothing any ideas?

Basic checks:-
water pressure in boiler
gas supply on
Turn boiler on then:-
does the fan come on - u can hear this at the top of boiler
does the gas valve click on
has there been a burning smell near the lower front [check the pcb]
check the co-axial flue is ok with no gaps between inner & outer [rare but not unknown]
If it's a condensating boiler check the condensate outlet tube for ice blockage especially in current weather

Boiler Venting.

There cannot be controlled venting of the flue , the products of combustion must have free flow to escape , The heat exchanger is above the burner which heats the water if you thinks this is high then maybe you a pressure problem . Or contact the makes tech line and ask them what they think the consumption might be for you heater .You may find this on google
