Question about Canon PIXMA MP530 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I upgraded to Windows7 and I was receiving error messages, however I could still print. I'm fairly certain its a printer driver problem? I went to the Canon website to download the latest driver and still wont install. I have a 64 bit version. HELP

49.XXXX is a critical firmware error. It may be caused by a bunch of things such as bad input data or data corruption due to poor cables.
