Maytag skybox i saw you answered a bunch of questions on the maytag sky box mbv1976, i have one that has stopped cooling and had a few people out to service it, say that the compressor is bad; had it for 2 and a half yrs. none of the service people were willing to fix it for me because they say they havent worked on these before, even the maytag people. any suggestions how i can fix it? thanks! The relay on your box is damaged.. You have to get it replaced.. Not to be tried by a novice but if you have some experience in electronics it can be fixed by you. The relay costs around 75$. Good luck!

you need the numbers off the compresser to get the BTU of it before that question can be answered. But your right this is a non replacement part (you cant buy it) it may cross but need cooling capacity first

our skybox just stopped cooling. i think the compressor kicks on but wont cool. can somebody please help me! thanks barbie
