I have a GD25DIXHs00 Whirlpool Refridgerator, side-by-side stainless, The ice maker is working fine. Water dispenses through the door just fine but ice cubes and crushed ice will nto come through the door. The lever is pushed and there is no noise at all. I took the front off and switched microswitches and the ice cube side will still not work so I know the microswitch is not the issue.

Could be the door switch. As you may know when the door is open it will not allow water to be dispensed. I would check that.

WAS IT LEAKING FROM INSIDE THE FREEZER OR FROM BOTTOM OF FRIDGE? ONCE IN A WHILE YOU NEED TO TAKE OUT THE ICE BIN AND DUMP ICE OUT AND CLEAN IT. HOW CAN THE ICE MACHINE OVERFLOW WITH ICE WHEN THE ICE IN THE TRAY WON'T BUDGE? NEED CLARIFICATION. SOUNDS LIKE YOU EITHER HAVE A BAD ICE MAKER MODULE OR THE SOLENOID FOR THE ICE ON THE WATER VALVE IS BAD.

In some cases, living in an area with extreme humidity, the ice dispenser door can stick open ( a small flap in the chute that delivers ice into the glass). This can cause a problem. The grinder in the dispenser sounds like it is frozen. Try using a HEAT GUN (hair dryer) on a low setting to defrost the dispenser DO NOT TRY TO MELT THE PLASTIC! Or a quicker solution, Unplug the refrigerator and pour water thru the dispenser CAN BE A MESS try to catch in a bucket or pan. Remove the dispenser from the door clean and dry as necessary and reinstall.

Try using cube ice to see if this helps. The occasional cup of cubes will dislodge stuck ground ice in the dispenser.

ABOVE ALL BE CAREFULL THE GRINDER CAN CUT YOUR FINGERS OFF. ELECTRIC SHOCK IS A DANGER AS WELL.

CHECK FOR CRACKS IN LINE

I have a whirlpool side by side. water and ice in front. ice working and water not. the hose is not frozen and it is not humming when you push the water dispenser. It would give us water and quit but now we have nothing.

The chute where the ice drops through could be icing up, try removing the I bin and cleaning the ice build up out.

check the water valve on the back of the ref. it sends water to the ice maker and water in the door one can work and the other one not

You could have a layer of solid ice at the bottom of your icetray. Remove icetray. Remove any ice in bottom. Reinstall. Be careful there is a connection on the rear of the icetray, you may have to turn it to get it to mesh correctly. Fill with ice and it should work fine. Good Luck.
