put the original memory back into the laptop and see if you get video, if you do then you know that the new memory isn't compatible.

If your still not getting video then try each original memory stick one at a time in each slot one at a time and turn on the laptop after each reseat.

After this take out the hard drive and dvd drive to make sure that those parts aren't causing the no video problem.

If after these steps you still can't get video then that means the motherboard is bad.

Unfortunately, your laptop does not support SD Cards.

But, your laptop does support a USB flash drive, since it has 2 USB ports. The USB port is rectangular in shape. Then, you can copy your files to the flash drive.

Flash drives are inexpensive these days.

The maximum RAM you can upgrade to is 2 GBs and here's the spec on it.

1024MB-DDR333, 333MHz, PC2700, 200p SODIMM,

You need 2 sticks of the above and eBay's about the best place to buy them. If you just go to eBay and paste the above info into the search box and click go or hit enter you'll have a number of vendors to buy from. Just make sure to buy new Ram, not used.
