Question about Computers & Internet
I assume you mean the key number for your Windows operating system. That key can only be used twice. Once for a desk top computer and once for a laptop. The theory is that you will not use both machines at the same time. You will have to use a different number for your other machines. The question then becomes why you need the same number for your other machines. Every computer you buy with an operating system install on it should have a Certificate Of Authenticity sticker on it. (COA) That sticker has your key number for that machine and is your proof that you paid for that operating system.
