Those are the drum baffles and the top cover needs to be lifted to the rear of the dryer to access the outside of the drum, but you have to remove the front panel first. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Open the dryer door and remove the four screws located vertically along the inside lip of the door opening. These screws hold the front panel to the front shroud assembly. Once the four screws are removed, grasp and press in on the upper edges of the front panel posts then twist it inward to release the clips holding it to the cabinet. Tilt the top of the front panel and move it away from the dryer.

The top cover is held on each side of the cabinet by two hold down brackets. Locate and remove the 5/16" hex-head screws holding each bracket then swing the bracket to the outside and unhook it from the slot in the top cover lip.

Open the door then lift the front of the top cover and tilt it toward the rear of the dryer. Reinstall the top cover and the front panel by following the removal steps in reverse order.

LG front load washer wd11029d drum paddle. Having trouble removing.

The drum paddles are screwed from the outside of the bowl. To access them, you have to completely strip the machine and remove the wash bowl. The paddles are rarely available as a spare part. You may be able to repair it or remove it. This will affect the wash action to a certain extent if you take it out. Its a big job.

The drum paddles have came loose from the machine

Have all drum paddles come loose? Generally there is one anchor bolt accesed through on of the paddle holes, usually the third from the front. Press down and away from you towards the back of the machine and tighten the bolt
The paddles have slots on there underside and coresponding hooks on the drum of the machine, hence the "push down and away" action to hook up the paddles.

Hope this helps

I have a Hotpoint AQXXF149PM washing machine, and two of the drum paddle lifters have fallen out.I have the replacement parts but cannot work out how to fit them, as a piece of metal projecting at 90...

I have exactly the same problem on my ...129 model. I'm a mechanical engineer and looking at the design it apears that these aren't designed to be replaced. The 90 degree tab looks to be only accessed from the outside of the drum so can only lock the tumbler in place from the factory. It needs to be bent flat to get the paddle on!

I hope someone can prove me wrong??

I have a Maytag MD55 dryter and one of the paddles

You remove the door screws with the triangular plastic plates and screws for the door on the opposite side. pull front forward and down. Remove the two bolts at top corners to raise top (unplug machine of course). screws are on outside of drum. When reassembling, make sure that the right screws go with the right area (The wider screws go in the triangular plates and the thinner go in the door) Make sure the door hinges are put in their grooves before reinserting the front.

One of the paddles came off inside the dryer

Remove the top and front of the machine. (Look for up to two screws them pop the top.) Remove the drum (be careful of the belt) Reattach the paddle - it should be self evident once you have the drum out. You might need to add a screw of two. While it is apart, Id be changing the belt.

Reassemble

Your wife will love you forever.

Simple.

Fin / paddle has come loose in the drum.

Hi,

The paddles are the plastic things inside the metal drum. they are held in by tabs that slide into slots in the drum and a metal tab from the drum flips over a ledge underneath the paddle.
if its loose you may need to replace it, they are available as a spare part and come with instructions. you will need to varify which version you have by counting the bumps on the end of the padle, should be 2 or 3.
basically you put a small screwdriver down on of the holes in the top of the paddle, i think the 3rd one, to push the metal drum tab down enough to be able to pull the paddle towards you and out of it's slots. carefull not to push the tab down too far as it will bend inside the drum and isd pain to bend back again.

Any further help, Let me know.
