Keys not functioning

I own a logitech keyboard/mouse combo model number Y-RR54 which i use when i'm at home and such for my laptop. I recently relocated and after i unpacked my keyboard and tried to connect, it didn't work. I thought maybe the batteries had died, but then I tried new ones to no avail. Then I noticed something strange, the Function light on the mouse dock lit up when I hit the Function key and all of the other extra keys (like play, scroll, etc) worked fine.

It seems the keyboard itself is not working and I'm not sure what to do to fix it!

Also, I bought it from a friend who had previously opened it up so it's no longer under warranty! EEP! and now my key for the letter after "u" just broke on my laptop... help please.

No response from keys in and mouse the middle of a writing exercise. Batteries replaced to no avail, Scroll button still reacting. Trials to re-connect with base unsucessfull except for the mouse that returned to normal. Keyboard still under warranty, but it was a gift, I dont have the bill and I moved 10.000 km since!

I was just about to post that I have the same problem (keys not working on Y-RR54 except scroll, F Mode, etc.) But as I was posting, my keyboard started working. Here's how:
Keep your Y-RR54 connected and hook up another keyboard. WIth the other keyboard, go to Logitech.com and go to their Support section. Select your product (Keyboard and Mouse Combo -> LX700) and then go to Downloads. Download the latest Logitech Setpoint software and install it to your machine. Make sure the Y-RR54 is connected to the receiver before you install. The latest version as of this message is 4.70.213. Let it go through the install, and when you get to the program, click "My Keyboard" and it will make you go through a "Secure Connection" process. After this process was over, my keyboard worked just fine. I'm typing from it right now.

Where can i get a manual for my mk270 wireless keyboard and mouse?

Logitech has a Quick Start Guide which describes the functions of the top row keys on the MK270 support page: http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/wireless-combo-mk270 . The direct link to this guide is http://www.logitech.com/assets/45924/wireless-combo-mk270-quick-start-guide.pdf . The key descriptions are at the bottom of page 1.

I hope this helps.

No numlock key on MX5500 logitech

The ten-key keypad is used for the calculator too. The button to swith between these modes is just aboc=ve the key and has a picture of a calculator. To use directional arrow keys, this keyboard comes with it's own separate arrow keys located under the delete button. They felt no need for directional function, number input function, and calculator function.

Hello, Ken.
Many product sites, provide manuals, setup guides, and tutorials on the product you purchased. Try searching Logitech.com for a manual on it. If none are found, try 'Googling' your problem. Also, on a side note: Try typing your model number into google, which should be included in your search. Hope I helped in some way. :)

F keys don't work on reboot. Work on Power on boot.

Turn your computer off.
Temporarily replace your keyboard/mouse with "generic" units.
Turn your computer on.
Check that the F-keys work.
Restart.
Now, do the F-keys work correctly?
Or, do you still get "keyboard failure"?

Keyboard LX501 : Function keys work but number and alphabetic keys and other keys dont

Hi,
Check the underside of the keyboard and see if there is a reset button (might be a small pin hole).

If not it might be a software problem.

How to program my new Keyboard cordless desktop S510

When I bought my s510 recently I couldn't use the function keys even with the software that came with the keyboard and mouse.

I had to actually download new logitech software for the s510 which allowed me to use the function/extra keys.

Navigate to:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard_mice_combos/devices/145&cl=US,EN

On the right hand side of the screen you will see 'Support Center' below it click 'Downloads,'
From there you can choose your OS w98 and language and download the software you need to get your keyboard working the way it should.
