Try using a different memory card. The problem you have could be the card, but it could also be the playstation. The cheapest way to find out is to use a new or borrowed memory card that you know is good.
Play a game for a good while and try to simulate your problem.
If a different card does not have this problem, you know that the playstation console is fine.
If the problem happens again you will need the playsation repaired. That is the bad news. There are no repair centers except for the Sony factory repair center in Mexico that can get parts for these playstations.
That is the way Sony has set this up for the Playstation, I guess it saves them money.
I hope you found this information helpful, and if so, a good rating would be appreciated and even appropriate, even though the news is not really very good.
You can even call Sony to verify what I have said.
Thanks, and good luck, I hope you only need a new memory card.
if you put the game in and it loads then sends you back to the dashboard with an open disc tray or please put in a game sign then you might need to send it to microsoft for repairs call 1-800-4myxbox or if you have a warranty from the store you bought it from trade it in for a new one there
