When i play music or DVD on my windows media player there is no audio sound?

Open Control Panel - Sound and Audio devices - check the sound volume, move to high if required and Mute is not selected.
Next click on Sound tab and select a Windows and click on the play button, if the play button is greyed out then the audio driver is either not installed or not working. In this case install your model audio driver.

Sound didnt come out when i play music or movie

If you are using windows OS, most probably your Media Player is not support playing the Audio/Video formats, you are playing.

You can download & install the codec latest version for your PC/Laptop "K-Lite Codec Pack or K-Lite Mega Codec Pack" from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/k_lite_codec_pack.htm which will play most of the Audio/Video format.

You can also install the free VLC media Player too.

Hope it helps.

WINDOW MEDIA PLAYAR NO SOUND

***Codec issue If only some of the movies you're playing do not get sound it's likely you have a codec issue. codec downloads.
***Check volume settings Often no sound in the Microsoft Windows Media Player is corrected by adjusting the volume controls at the bottom of the window. Moving the slider from the left to the right will turn up the volume, if all the way to the left the volume is turned all the way down.

***Make sure not muted In addition to the volume slider, make sure the sound icon is not pressed in. This button is the mute button and will mute the sound.

***Sound Driver Drivers for your sound card download this http://www.devicedoctor.com/device-doctor-download.php
***Update / Reinstall the Windows Media Player
If you continue to experience issues, you may want to consider reinstalling and/or updating the Windows Media player on your computer. You can find the latest Windows Media player on your computer by clicking "here".

My Sony Vaio VGN-FS690P has stopped playing sound. The sound card states it is working correctly. It does play one sounds, the sound when it starts and show the VAIO screen.

Hopefully this helps. Right click on your volume control icon. Open the "Volume Mixer," and make sure that nothing has the mute X on. Then right click on "Volume Control," and make sure that the volume control is checked to play all sounds, and that your Speaker box is checked. Next step is your music, if the sound was muted directly @ the music playback, this could be the problem. Open your Media Player and try to play music, if you cannot hear it, click on the mute button to the song playing. If your Player was shut off in the "mute" mode, then you will not hear sound. It Happened to me once. You will need to check all of your "Players" to see if any of them were shut off in "mute."

Windows Media Player 11 shuts my computer down

If the windows media worked before the updates you are able to revert in the moment in time when it was opperating correct. If there was a check point created, that is the best thing about XP. You can go there by clicking on 'start' -> 'accessories' -> 'system tools' -> 'system restore' then select 'restore my computer to an earlier time' -> 'next' you will come to a calender, click a bold date, this will be a date before the updates that was created. Select that date then press 'next' note: before you select next you will see details on that date on the screen next to the calendar with what was changed at that time. Select next then read the prompts, the computer will do its thing and shut down, and come back up. This will take some time, and will not erase any data.
Best of luck!

Music will not play on my sansa shaker

Did you copy your own CD's to the computer? The default settings for Windows Media Player "RIP Music" are to rip as WMA format. The music needs to be in mp3 format. Change your settings in Windows Media Player. Tools>Options>RIP Settings. Select mp3, under the drop down menu. Best of Luck.
