Wor for Explorers... parking brake adjustment instructions:

Turn off air suspension if you have it.
Block front wheels.
Make sure parking brake is released fully.
Crank engine, place tranny in 2wd mode, shift to neutral. Turn off engine.
Jack up vehicle until both wheels are off ground, support by jack stands.
Under vehicle remove 1" long rubber plug from bottom of brake backing plate under axle.
Insert short, flat blade screw driver to engage grooves in star wheel of adjuster.
Turn star wheel upward with screw driver tip until vehicle wheel will not rotate by hand even slightly.
Back off (turn star wheel down) five or six screw driver swings.
If Wheel soes not not rotate by hand, back off more, one swing at a time. When wheel moves. Replace rubber plug and do same on other side.
Check parking brake travel. It should be much improved.

Hope this helps.

2003 Escapade by Jayco Class C Motorhome. The display for emergency brake light stays on regardless if the brake is actually on or off. Please advise.

Pull up on the emergency brake pedal with your hand to see if the light will go off. If it will. there is a slack adjustment for the cable going back to the rear brakes. If it won't then the switch is bad or out of adjustment. It's located on the emergency brake pedal

What is needed to fix emergency brake on dodge nitro

    Adjust the Emergency Brakes
    • 1 Raise the car on a car lift. While using a car jack may be tempting, do not use it. A car jack is much too unstable to properly support a car for long and should at least be reinforced with safety stands.2 Locate the emergency brake adjustment. It will be found underneath the car, roughly in the area where the emergency brake pedal is located in the interior of the car.
    • 3 Adjust the emergency brake using either a screwdriver or a wrench, depending on the make and model of your vehicle. The brake line will be visible and in most cases will need to be tightened. This can be accomplished by turning the emergency brake adjustment so the line becomes tighter.4 Test the emergency brake again by parking on a sloping road and engaging the emergency brake, again noting at what point it engages when it has beenpressed and at what point it is fully engaged.5 Repeat the adjustment process until the emergency brake will engage properly. Take care not to adjust the emergency brake too tight, or it will always be engaged, which will damage your hydraulic brakes as well as the emergency brake.

Rear brake drum remov al on ford windstar

after removing the tire, the rear hub should come right off, if not then grab it and shake it from side to side, if it seems to be stuck, you can take a 3 - 4 pound hammer or rubber mallet, and hit it fairly lightly in the top, bottom, and sides, this should free it up, if not, the brake adusting wheel will have to be loosen, this is by going into the back of the drum, normally where a small rubber plug about 1" - 1 1/2" long is inserted at the bottom, remove the plug, and take a brake adjusting tool and reach through the hole to the star adusting wheel, and turn it , i believe you have to turn it downward to get it to loosen up, if it doesn't free, then turn it in the opposite direction, remember that the adusting wheel is always in the opposite position on the brake asssembly on the opposite rear wheel.
