Question about Westinghouse Bethany Antique Brass- Indoor Ceiling Fans Fans

Westinghouse stove Hi, gurus and wiz's. An electric stove, Westinghouse Kimberley, for some reason keeps getting warm in the oven when it is switched off - sometimes hot, sometimes just warm, quite variable. Usually noticeable in the morning because the room is still cold, but open the oven door and, well, it just should not do that. Any ideas? Ben S.

Replace fuse in an old Westinghouse 229 fan-forced oven.

Not sure, but if you're lucky the stove will have a schematic inside. Take the back off, see if one is glued to the back or in an envelope. If back is 2 pieces try top behind controls first. Unplug 1st!

1954 westinghouse stove/oven....has an odd burner that drops into the top of the stove..circa 1954?? looking for any info at all about it

That burner is a two-level speed cooker. There is a stock pot type insert that sits down in the burner that can be used to prepare stews or can be converted into a deep fryer.

Cant find replacement glass for westinghouse turbo swirl 78144

As I understand it, yo need a new globe or shade for your Westinghouse Ceiling Fan. I;m happy to make this suggestion for you.

Home Depot and Lowes both carry a wide selecction of replacement parts for ceiling fans. You may find a direct replacement or something similar which will please you for your fan. You may find something at your local hardware store or electric supply house. There may be several FixYa.com advertisers which can provide you with the parts you require.

Thank you for posting your question on FixYa.com and I hope you found some value in these comments

The elements on the stove top will go on full or nothing at all. Is there an easy fix for this ?

the elements are supposed to do this, being on or off. however, if they do not turn on and off to maintain selected temperature, means the thermostat in the oven needs to be replaced. on newer fancy ovens it may be the electronic control panel

Westinghouse Kimberley Electric stove

The temperature control thermostat mechanism in these switches are frail, low quality and repeatedly fail. You will know they have failed (again and again) when you turn the stove ring on and you will only have full temp with no variance.
They must be replaced.
Most places sell the replacements at insane markups, sometimes as much as $50 each! They can be had for almost a quarter of that price. There is no difference between the $50 and $15 controls regardless of what the rip off merchants will try to tell you.
Ideally these controls should be replaced free of charge by the stove manufacturer as they have used a very inferior component in their product during the manufacturing process.
They have been used by several common manufacturers for many years but still have made no effort at all to correct this very dangerous condition.
The danger factor of this fault is ignored but should receive the utmost attention by the autorities asap.

3 speed fan switch

Zing Ear ze208s switches are NOT all the same - the actual switch wafer on the back varies significantly. Some are single-pole making contact with 1, 2, 3 one at a time, others make contact in combinations. Like L123 for high, L1&2 for medium, and L1&3 for low. The number stamped in the center of the back may indicate the difference. I have one with a "4" that is one-pole at a time, and another that is a "21" and makes multiple contacts at a time.
