Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Battery suddenly looses charge?

I have the pink razr and it's about 2 years old. It's never been dropped but once when I first got it but it worked fine until now. When I got home from school today and turned it off it said the battery was full. Just now when I turned it back on it told me that it had now power left. I also want to know how to put a picture as the background on the outside screen. My carrier is Verizon.

The V3 takes a bit of time to recognise the charge left in the battery so if you had left it a while it would probably then have gone down to the actual charge level before you turned it off. If this is not the case then you probably need a need a new battery.

The outer screen will permanently stay as the Moto logo when your phone is open and this cannot be changed (maybe with hacked firmware...).
When your phone is closed then it is the same picture as your main phone background and will change at the same time as it, also this cannot be changed independently (but also maybe with hacked firmware...)

Hope this helps

The battery doesn't work fine

If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Razr phones are known for poor battery life. There is no solution but to get it repaired or buy another phone that is not a RAZR

You really need to Upgrade to a New Phone. My RAZR did the Same thing for over a Year and a Half until the Flip screen went Completely Blank.

"unable to charge" message & person on other end cannot hear me

Go to a skilled mechanic, request him to check the charger, the charging connector, the charging controller IC to solve the problem.

disconnect battery for few minutes, put it back in and charge for around 15 minutes. This cleared my faulty handset which would not turn on

Sounds like the charger's defective. Did it get dropped accidentally? Take both the phone and the charger back where you got it. They should fix the problem for you. Battery in the phone is probably dead and just needs charging.
