Hi,
Kindly mention the problem in detail.
Thanks!!
Thanks for your response!!
I hate this model. This is a VERY common problem with this model.
From the symptoms you are getting, its quite evident that the print heads are worned out with usage or have clogged totally.
If you already tried cleaning the print head / cartridge then there are only two possibilities :
1. The print heads are worned out with usage.
2. The cartridge you bought is faulty (less probable)
If the printer is in warranty then you should get it repaired by Epson for free. If not, you will have to send the printer to Epson for paid repair.
To be very honest, these print heads are made of poor quality so that you need to replace them and Epson can make money. That's why they sell cartridges at cheaper cost.
Please don't even think of sending it for repair to Epson if its out of warranty or anyone as again that will make hole in your pocket. Cheapest option is to buy new printer.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
Thanks for your response!!
Download the manual :-
http://files.support.epson.com/pdf/cx7kf...
You need to have Acrobat reader to view the file.
Read page 10/06 for the complete procedure.
If you want to manually clean the print head, i could provide generic procedure :-

So I am using an Epson Stylus CX7000F printer and a macbook pro labtop. I have a universal USB chord connecting the two and i just replaced the ink in the printer. Whenever i print the printer is only printing every few lines.. say printing a line and then skipping 5. What do u think is the issue?
Thank you. I have not tried cleaning the print head. How do i do that and which part of the printer is that?
